Chapter 1 - to be continued

"One week," Alex Taylor stated, laying out on her lounge chair, soaking up some sun, "I can't believe it."
"Ehh, I know," Angel Carter said, laying on the chair next to her, "At least we're seniors."
"Hell yeah we are," Alex said, "Single and lovin' it."
"Power to the single people," Angel said. Alex and Angel laid there in silence, enjoying the beautiful sunny day. Alex closed her eyes, feeling like she could fall asleep any second. That's what the sun did to her. Her eyes flew open when someone moved her legs aside and sat down at the end of her lounge chair. Alex reached up and put her sunglasses on the top of her head.
"Aaron!" She exclaimed, jumping up to give him a hug.
"Hey stranger," Aaron laughed, hugging her close, "How are ya?"
"Excited to see you! Damn, boy, it's been, what...four months?" Alex sat beside him and he kept his arm wrapped around her shoulders.
"Something like that," Aaron leaned back, as if to check her out, "Still blonde and beautiful." Alex laughed and pushed him away playfully.
"What, I don't get an 'I missed you'?" Angel pouted. Aaron moved onto Angel's chair and hugged his sister. Alex took the time to check Aaron out. He wore a black wifebeater, jeans, and a black hat tilted to his right. He wore an earing in his right ear, too. His wifebeater showed off his arm muscles and Alex found herself wishing she could see his abs. Alex couldn't believe how much hotter Aaron had become since the last time she had seen him. He was so gorgeous, it was almost breath-taking how incredible he looked.
"I missed you," Aaron moved back to be sitting beside her, leaning back on his arm resting behind her.
"I missed you, too, Carter," Alex smiled, "So what's this I hear about new tattoos?" Aaron laughed and showed her his 'A' and 'C' on his wrists, then his star and '7' on his arm.
"Nice," Alex smiled. More like sexy as hell.
"Do you like guys with tatts?" Aaron asked, so obviously flirting. Alex just laughed and looked towards Angel, who raised her eyebrow. Angel was convinced Aaron had a 'thing' for Alex.
"How long are you here for?" Alex turned back to Aaron.
"Awhile, actually. Kinda taking a break. Done with touring. I've got like, two shows within the next month or whatever."
"Awesome."
"You still in Key West?"
"My dad just brought a place around here," Alex replied excitedly, "We're in the process of moving. Hopefully we'll have everything set by next week when school starts."
"Ick. Alex. Why'd you say that?" Angel acted disgusted.
"Haha. No school for moi," Aaron teased. Alex pushed Aaron away, but he came back and wrapped his arms around her neck, pulling her to him and putting her in a playful headlock. Alex just giggled, pulling on his arms to let her go. He loosened his grip and kept one arm around her. Alex leaned into him, enjoying his closeness.
"Ya'll are too cute," Angel said, giving Alex a knowing look. Surprisingly, Aaron pulled Alex closer.
"Yeah, I'm pretty cute, but Alex...I don't know..." Aaron teased.
"Aaron Charles!" Alex exclaimed, pushing him away. She didn't realized she pushed him that hard until he fell off the chair and onto the cement.
"Ohmygod," Alex's hand flew to her mouth, "I didn't mean to push you that hard!" Aaron stood up and gave her an evil glare.
"Aaron..." Alex stood up, walking to him, trying not to laugh, "I'm sorry!"
"Alright, alright," Aaron smiled, "I'll forgive you." He wrapped his arms around her waist. "It's hard to say no to a girl in a bikini."
"Watch it, Carter. You're standing at the edge of the pool," Alex threatened. Angel kicked her foot and Alex looked at her friend. Angel raised her eyebrow knowingly. Alex just shook her head. Before she could say anything else, Aaron picked her up and held her over the pool.
"Aaron!" Alex screamed, kicking her legs, "Don't you dare!" She held onto his neck tightly. If he was going to throw her in, he'd be coming with her.
"Gotcha," Aaron laughed, setting her onto her feet.
"So not funny," Alex crossed her arms over her chest, trying to look pissed off. But with Aaron, that was a challenge.
"Don't be mad, babe," Aaron said. When Alex didn't smile, he started tickling her bare stomach. Alex ran away, running around the Carter's big backyard. Aaron caught her, picking her up, making Alex squeal. Aaron set her down and Alex just shook her head, smiling. She jumped on Aaron's back and he carried her back to Angel. Angel, once again, gave her that knowing look. Alex didn't believe it. Sure, she and Aaron flirted, but that was it. They didn't have feelings for each other. At least, Aaron probably didn't towards her. He probably had a girlfriend. Alex tried to put the thought of Aaron having a girlfriend in the back of her mind. Deep down, she didn't want Aaron to have a girlfriend. Unless it was her.

Chapter 1 - end of it

Aaron laid on his living room couch, flipping through TV channels, trying to get his mind off of Alex. He couldn't stop thinking about her. It was weird, because he had never thought about her like this. Alex had always been pretty, but damn...today...in her bikini. Aaron couldn't handle it.
"Nothing good on?" Alex sat down beside him on the couch. Aaron drew in a sharp breath. Alex wore a loose cami and these pajama shorts that looked like boy shorts. Was she trying to kill him?
"Yeah," Was all Aaron could say. He looked away from Alex, unable to think clearly looking at her.
"So what's new? Any movies in the works?"
"I auditioned for a new movie the other day," Aaron said, turning to look at her. If he just looked at her face, he'd be okay.
"No new music?"
"I've got an album done, but I'm not releasing it yet," Aaron shrugged, "Kinda focusing on acting right now."
"Can I hear the new album?" Alex asked, smiling.
"Nope."
"Please?" Alex pouted. Why does she have to look so irresistible?
"Just because you're friends with me, doesn't allow you to have access to my new music," Aaron told her. He tried to keep a straight face, but Alex kept pouting in the most adorable way.
"Fine," Aaron gave in, rolling his eyes teasingly. Alex smiled happily, leaning over to give him a hug. Aaron held her for a little longer than she probably expected. He loved having her close. He loved being around her.
"I'm so going to brag to all my friends that I got to listen to Aaron Carter's hot new music before anyone else!" Alex said, in her fanatic voice. Aaron just laughed and pushed her away.
"So what about you? Any boyfriends I need to worry about?" Aaron asked, hoping she'd say she was single.
"Single and lovin' it," Alex told him, "And you?"
"Ditto."
"High-five," Alex raised her hand. Aaron slapped her hand, smiling. Alex moved to the other end of the couch, grabbing a blanket off the floor and curling up with it. Aaron was tempted to pull her back to him, when Angel joined them.
"What? Ya'll get in a fight?" Angel asked, sitting between them.
"What are you talking about?" Aaron asked, flipping through the channels again.
"You and Alex. At opposite ends of the couch."
"Ang...you and your theories," Alex said.
"What are you talking about?" Aaron asked again, obviously clueless to what Angel meant. Alex must know, though.
"Your sister is full of crazy ideas," Alex told him.
"Can someone please tell me her crazy ideas?" Aaron asked, starting to get frustrated. He hated to be the last one to know.
"Don't even, Angel," Alex warned her, then said to Aaron, "It's nothing, Aaron. Don't worry about it." Aaron tried not to think about what the girls were keeping from him. But it was hard. It was about him and Alex, but that's all he knew. He wanted to know anything that had to do with Alex, especially with him and Alex. I'll get it out of one of them somehow.

Chapter 2

Alex stood at her stove the next evening, impatiently waiting for the water to boil. Alex went to the cabinet and got herself a glass, filling it up at the sink with water. She sat down at the bar, sipping on her water, waiting for the water to boil.
"Hello?" Alex answered her cell when it rang.
"Hey," Aaron said, "What's up?"
"Waiting for the damn water to boil," Alex told him, glaring at the pot on the stove.
"What are you cooking?" Aaron laughed.
"Spaghetti."
"Ahh...that sounds so good right now."
"Come over," Alex hopped off the bar stool and over to the stove. She lifted up the pot cover. Almost boiling.
"Seriously?"
"Yeah. I'm bored as hell. Dad and Kelly are out," Alex shrugged, "Invite Angel, too." Alex gave Aaron her address, then hung up. Finally her water was boiling and she poured in the noodles.

"Wanna go to Alex's with me?" Aaron asked Angel, jumping down the last couple stairs into the living room.
"Depends on what you're doing there," Angel said, looking up from the magazine she was reading.
"Banging her hard," Aaron rolled his eyes, "What do you think? Hanging out. Eating spaghetti that she's making."
"I won't impose on dinner for two," Angel raised her eyebrow, then returned to her reading.
"What the hell is up with your eyebrow raising?" Aaron asked, still clueless to his sister's theory about him and Alex.
"Nothing. Go ahead. Alex is waiting," Angel flashed him a knowing smile.
"I'm going to find out, Ang," Aaron told her, heading to the front door. He walked outside and to his truck, anxious to get to Alex's. She had left this morning to unpack more of her things. He wanted to see her new house and more importantly, her. As he blasted his radio, driving down his long driveway, he realized that banging her hard didn't sound like such a bad idea.

Aaron found the Taylor's mansion and parked his truck, then walked down the short walkway to the front door. He noticed some pretty yellow flowers near the door and picked one, then rang the doorbell. Alex answered with a smile, smiling even bigger when Aaron handed her the yellow flower.
"Awe, thanks!" Alex laughed, giving him a hug, "How sweet of you."
"Yeah, but don't get used to it," Aaron walked inside. Alex slapped his arm playfully, closing the door behind him. She led the way into the kitchen and Aaron checked her out from behind. Pink althetic pants, white tank, a couple inches of her stomach were exposed, and she looked...absolutely gorgeous. Breath-takingly gorgeous. How could Aaron have ignored her body before? But of course, he wasn't only in love with her curves. Alex smiled at him then, revealing her cute right dimple. She had piercing green eyes, too, that until now, Aaron had never been drawn to.
"No partying tonight?" Alex asked, stirring the spaghetti sauce one more time before pouring it into a bowl.
"Alex is so much cooler than a party where I can get wasted," Aaron told her, as if it was obvious.
"Damn right I'm cooler," She said, pouring the noodles into another bowl. "Angel's busy?"
"Yeah. Said she didn't want to impose on dinner for two."
"Damn her," Alex shook her head, setting the two bowls on the table.
"Will you please tell me her theory about us?" Aaron asked, sitting down at the table, "It's driving me insane."
"It's stupid, Aaron. Your sister's crazy. Don't worry about it," Alex told him, sitting down across from him.
"If it's stupid and not a big deal, why can't you tell me?" Aaron asked, looking at Alex expectantly.
"Because if we told you, then it'd be a big deal," Alex said, smirking, "Now eat, Carter. I'm starving!" Aaron helped himself to noodles and sauce, then passed them to Alex, all the while thinking about what Alex and Angel were keeping from him.
"Please, Alex?" Aaron asked, giving her his puppy dog eyes.
"No," Alex said, swirling her spaghetti around her fork, then taking a bite. Aaron gave up and ate his spaghetti, knowing that he'd have to take drastic measures to make the girls talk.

Chapter 2 - end of it

"I'd say you're pretty well moved in," Aaron said, after Alex had given him a tour of the house. Alex plopped down onto the living room couch.

"Yeah," Alex replied, "I have to take one last trip down to the old house for the last of my shxt."

"When are you going back?" Aaron sat down beside her.

"Eh. This weekend," Alex shrugged, "Take a mini road trip."

"By yourself?"

"I'll drag you and Ang along," Alex grinned at him.

"Only if you tell me Angel's theory."

"You won't stop, will you?" Alex laughed, reaching to grab the TV remote off the coffee table in front of them.

"No. It's about us, right? I wanna know!"

"You're so patient," Alex said sarcastically, turning on the TV. She flipped through the channels, stopping when she got to MTV.

"Laguna!" Alex exclaimed happily, "I love Laguna Beach."

"You and Ang both," Aaron rolled his eyes. Alex pushed him aside.

"Fine. I'll change it. It's a rerun anyway," Alex flipped through the channels again.

"Nah, you can watch it," Aaron told her, "Kristin's pretty hot."

"Aaron!" Alex exclaimed, shoving him aside.

"What?" Aaron laughed.

"I thought you had a thing for brunettes." Aaron smiled at her then, his eyes locking with hers. Alex felt all warm and tingly.

"I did," Aaron finally said, still gazing at her. Alex looked away, unable to think clearly with him looking at her like that. She switched back to MTV, watching Kristin and Talan talk over dinner.

"Sorry, she's with Talan," Alex told Aaron, keeping her eyes on the TV.

"Dammit!" Aaron said, punching the arm of the couch. Alex laughed.

"You'll have to find another blonde to fall for you," She said. Aaron just smiled and wrapped his arms around her neck, pulling her against him.

"That won't be hard," Aaron scoffed, "I've got girls falling at my feet."

"Bimbos who could care less about you," Alex said.

"Really? I didn't know that," Aaron said sarcastically. Alex just nudged him in his stomach, paying attention to Talan's talk with Taylor. Well, she was trying to pay attention. Alex couldn't get over how perfect she felt in Aaron's arms. How comfortable and cared for.

After while, Alex made herself more comfortable in Aaron's arms. She leaned back against him, resting her cheek on his chest, listening to his heart beat. She didn't realize it, but she fell asleep quickly, with Aaron's arms wrapped tightly around her.

Chapter 3 - to be continued

Alex let herself into the Carter's place, surprised at how quiet it was. Angel was gone out with their friend Dustin, who Angel secretly had a crush on. Alex had no idea where Bob or Ginger was, and the kids weren't home either it seemed. Alex walked down the hall to Aaron's room and before she got to his door, he walked out of it.

"Hey Alex!" Aaron smiled, "I was just going to call you."

"I got here first," Alex smiled.

"Wanna go to the studio? Listen to some new music?"

"Yay!" Alex clapped her hands, then followed Aaron to the kitchen. They walked out onto the back porch, then down onto the grass.

"Where's the clan?" Alex asked.

"Dad and Ginger took Taelyn and Kanden out, Angel's with a friend," Aaron replied, "And I'm stuck with you."

"Poor Aaron," Alex said.

"Kidding," Aaron grinned, opening the door to the studio. Alex walked in and looked around. This was the one place she was most uncomfortable in. She had been in here twice probably within the ten or so years she'd known the Carters.

Aaron walked into a smaller room and sat down at the computer, clicking to a music program. Alex sat down on a nearby couch, ready to hear Aaron's new stuff.

"So?" Aaron asked, after he had played about twelve songs, "Those are my favorites. I recorded like, twenty five or thirty."

"Incredible! I love the r&b feel," Alex smiled. Aaron smiled. Her thoughts meant the world to him.

"I love the clubbin' songs. I can see you dancing to those already," She grinned.

"Oh yeah. I've got the choreography already in my head," Aaron told her.

"My turn," Alex stood up and walked over. She stood next to him, leaning to rest her hand on the mouse. Aaron checked her out in her jeans and tee, finding her hard to resist. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her onto his lap. She didn't object, which Aaron was grateful for. She leaned forward and clicked onto iTunes. She scrolled through the massive list of songs, then decided on one.

"Kaci Brown," Alex said, sitting sideways on his lap, letting her legs dangle over the armrest.

"She's pretty talented," Aaron said. He recognized the song, but not the name.

"'Like Em Like That'," Alex told him, "One of my songs." Aaron listened to the lyrics, resting his arms on her lap.

"You love bad boys?" Aaron asked, after hearing the chorus.

"To a certain degree," Alex shrugged, "Not no drug dealing, stealing, raping bad boys." Aaron laughed.

"Dammit. I guess I'm out," Aaron joked. Alex laughed.

"Ass is vibratin'," Alex said, raising her hips to take her cell out of her back pocket.

"Hey biznatch," She answered, making Aaron wonder who had called.

"Huh?" He listened to Alex's side of the conversation, "Yeah, so?...Stop it, he doesn't...no I don't!...where are you?" Alex sat up straighter then, looking over him. "You little slut...no, it's not like that...will you ever stop?...ugh whatever...yeah, later." Alex hung up, then set her cell on the desk near the keyboard.

"Angel?" Aaron asked.

"How'd you know?"

"Just a guess," Aaron shrugged, "What'd she want?" Alex looked at him for a moment, as if to study him.

"She just happened to glance in here and see us," Alex said quickly, shrugging it off as if it was no big deal. Aaron got this vibe like it was it big deal, or at least it meant something to Alex.

"What'd she think?" Aaron tried to joke about it, "We were making out?" Alex just smiled weakly. She got off his lap and grabbed her cell.

"I gotta go, but thanks for playing me your songs," Alex smiled, but wouldn't lock eyes with him. She left the studio without another word or smile his way.

Aaron sat there, dumbfounded. What did he do?

Chapter 3 - end of it

Alex walked into Glenhill High with Angel on their first day of their senior year. Alex was excited to be seeing all her friends and her classes this year were mostly blow off classes, so it was going to be an easy year.

"Lookin' good, Alex," Nolan Valley put Alex into a playful headlock.

"Hey Nolan!" Alex hugged him. Nolan was a gorgeous blonde, whom she'd had a crush on for years. Nolan was into girls who put out, so that's why Alex had only stayed friends with him.

Alex, Nolan, and Angel joined their friends at the 'senior corner', talking about their summers. They compared schedules when the first bell rang and Alex walked with Nolan to their drama class.

"How's things with Kelsey?" Alex asked. Nolan had been dating Kelsey Miller for almost two years.

"We broke things off a month or so ago," Nolan shrugged, "Shxt happens."

"Who's fault?" Alex asked, laughing when Nolan gave her a playful glare.

"Clay and I hit up a club and ya know, Kelsey found out," Nolan shrugged again, "I can't stay with one chick. I'm not a relationship kind of guy."

"Doin' what you do best," Alex laughed, "Pick up every hot chick, right?"

"And just be friends with them," Nolan nudged her, grinning. Alex gave him a quick hug before entering their drama class. Sure, Nolan was gorgeous. But she'd never hook up with him. Right?

Aaron laid sprawled out on the couch, flipping through the TV channels, waiting for the school day to end. Then Angel would be home. And hopefully Alex would come over. He loved his time off...when someone was around to hang with.

"Nothing good on?" Alex came to stand before him. Aaron did a double take. Alex wore a mini denim skirt...and damn did she look good. She wore a tank, too but Aaron was impressed by the shortness of her skirt.

"Now there is," Aaron grinned, sitting up. Alex pushed him back down and walked into the kitchen. Aaron got up and followed her.

"How was school?"

"Fun, actually. Blow off classes kick ass," Alex said, pouring herself a glass of water.

"Didya miss me?" Aaron pouted.

"Not one bit," Alex said seriously. Aaron continued to pout.

"Why do you think I came over here?" Alex asked with a cute little smile.

"To hang with Ang."

"Angel isn't here," Alex replied. Aaron looked around. She was right. Where was Angel?

"Of course I missed you," Alex stepped closer to him, "I've missed you for like, the past year when you were on tour."

"Awe, Alex..." Aaron wrapped his arms around her neck, pulling her close. He realized then just how much he missed her. She was the one girl who knew him, inside and out.

"I practically live here anyways," Alex shrugged, pulling away, "My house is boring." Aaron just laughed.

"Where is Angel?" Aaron asked after a minute or so.

"With Dustin," Alex replied, putting her empty glass by the sink.

"In a skirt?" Alex looked at him like he was insane. Aaron laughed.

"You can borrow Angel's clothes."

"Alrighty. I've been practicing," Alex said, walking to the stairs, "I'm almost brave enough to go over a jump." Aaron laughed and watched her walk up the stairs, then disappear down the hallway.

Aaron stood there with a smile on his face. Alex was incredible.

Chapter 4 - to be continued

Alex walked outside, heading to the student parking lot to go to lunch.

"Alex!" She heard her name being called. She stopped and turned around, seeing Nolan jogging to her.

"Hey you," She hugged him when he neared, "What's up?"

"Where are you going for lunch?" He asked and they continued walking to the parking lot.

"Angel's," Alex replied, "I forgot my Lit book at her house." Plus, Aaron'll be there.

"Oh. Well," Nolan held up his football away jersey he had been carrying, "I was wondering if you'd like to wear this tomorrow." Alex smiled and took it.

"Of course," She told him.

"Awesome," Nolan grinned. They parted ways to go to their seperate cars.

Alex felt butterflies in her stomach as she looked at Nolan's jersey. She had always wanted to wear his jersey. It was a sign that the girl wearing it was the guy's significant other. Of course, that wasn't always the case. But Alex wanted people to think that.

Alex walked into the Carter's house and called Aaron's name. No answer. She walked down the hall to his room, where she found his door closed. Still asleep at eleven, Alex thought as she opened his door, But not anymore. She jumped onto his bed, shaking him to wake him up.

"What the hell, Alex?" Aaron groaned, opening his eyes only long enough to see who woke him up.

"I came to see you, silly," Alex jumped off the bed and pulled off his covers. She caught a breath when she saw him in his pajama bottoms...and no shirt. Damn did he look good. "Come on, sleepyhead. Eat with me."

With that, she turned and walked out into the hall- after one last look at his chest and abs.

Aaron padded down the hall and into the kitchen, falling onto a bar stool and putting his head in his hands.

"You're crazy, Alex," Aaron groaned, "It's eleven in the morning."

"Hey, I got up at five," Alex told him, standing at the counter. Aaron looked up at her. He had to admit, he liked the fact she came here to see him. And she looked great in her low rise jeans and tee.

"Ginger's tuna salad kicks ass," Alex sat beside him, with a bowl of his step-mom's tuna salad.

"Yeah," Aaron mumbled, resting his head back down. Alex didn't say anything while she ate, so Aaron managed to drift off into a peaceful sleep very quickly. Until Alex pressed a cold water bottle against his bare back.

"I come to see you, and you don't even wanna see me?" Alex pouted. Aaron smiled and turned to face her. She stood before him, but not close enough. Aaron put his arms on her shoulders, an invite to move closer.

"I'm happy to see you," Aaron smiled, "Who doesn't love to see Alex?" Alex laughed and stepped closer, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Everyone loves me," She scoffed, "It's a given." Aaron laughed.

"When do you have to go back?" Aaron asked. Alex looked at the stove clock.

"Five minutes," She told him, "Then you can get some more beauty sleep. God knows you need it." Aaron pushed her away, giving her a glare. He stood up and walked towards his room.

"I was kidding!" Alex grabbed his hand, pulling him back.

"Am I really that ugly?" Aaron asked, giving her his sad puppy dog eyes.

"Not that ugly. I mean, half of the world's population of females fall at your feet."

"Yeah," Aaron sighed dramatically, "It sucks having girls do that." Alex laughed and pushed him away.

"Do you think I'm ugly?" Aaron asked, wanting to know what she thought of him.

"No. You're a cutie," Alex said, pinching his cheeks. Aaron ruffled her hair playfully.

"Gotta go, yo," Alex grabbed a book off the counter and headed to the front door. Aaron ran after her and picked her up, making her squeal. He spun her around once before setting her down.

"No goodbye hug?" Aaron pouted.

"C'mere, Carter," Alex laughed and hugged him tight. Aaron rested his chin on her head, enjoying her closeness.

"Are you coming over after school?" Aaron asked when she pulled away.

"I can."

"Yeah," Aaron smiled. Alex gave him a curious smile, then turned and walked out the front door.

Aaron smiled and looked at the wall clock. Three hours until Alex will be back.

Chapter 4 - end of it

Alex walked around Jaycie's crowded mansion. After the Wolves won their first football game of the season, with a score of 39-0, word spread about Jaycie's 'little get-together'. Her parents were out, seniors from last year had come to the game with plenty of alcohol waiting for the party, and half the senior class was ready to party. Alex hadn't had a drink yet, and wasn't planning on it. Nolan was already drunk, causing quite a mess. Alex looked for someone sober to chill with.

"Hey baby," Kurt Kingery wrapped an arm around her waist. Alex had always had a 'thing' for Kurt. Blonde hair, baby blue eyes, gorgeous. But not when he was drunk.

"Hey Kurt," Alex pushed his hand off of her and continued weaving through the crowd.

"Don't you miss me this year?" Kurt grabbed her wrist, slurring his words. Kurt had graduated last year. He had never paid much attention to her last year. Why all of a sudden now?

"Come on, baby," Kurt attempted to pull her into a hallway. Did Alex want to hook up with Kurt? No. Maybe with a sober Kurt. Even then she would have to really think about it.

"Leave me alone, Kurt," Alex tried to break free unsuccessfully. Kurt dragged her down the hallway.

"Let me go!" Alex cried, feeling like she was losing control very quickly. Kurt opened a door to a bedroom and pulled her inside. Alex screamed down the hallway, managing to keep half of her body in the hallway. Of course no one heard her. They were all wasted.

Alex did the only thing she could do. She kicked Kurt where it hurt, then ran down the hall once she was free.

She ran outside and to her car, speeding away from what could've been a horrible nightmare.

Chapter 5

Alex woke up screaming, sweating like a pig. She looked at her alarm clock. '3:03' it read. Alex feel back into her pillows, breathing deeply.

Since the incident with Kurt a week ago, she had been having nightmares of it almost every night. Her nightmares, though, got worse every time. Rougher, dirtier, and more painful.

Alex closed her eyes, trying to picture something pleasant to think about. She smiled as she fell asleep, thinking about Aaron.

"Spill it, Al!" Angel exclaimed, once inside her house. Alex had been keeping some 'very important news' from Angel all day.

"Jared asked me to Homecoming!!" Alex exclaimed happily. Jared was a gorgeous blonde senior, another one of Alex's crushes.

"That's your big news?" Angel sighed, "You know he's bad news. And after what happened with Kurt..."

"Don't remind me. I just won't go anywhere alone with him, okay?" Alex said, entering the kitchen, "Come on, Ang. He's gorgeous."

"Okay. I got you," Angel laughed, grabbing two water bottles. The girls giggled and chatted about their Homecoming plans for next week, anxious for the big day to come.

Aaron parked his truck in Alex's driveway, not ready to give her the bad news. Bad in the sense he was leaving her. But, the news was actually good for him- but still bad that he was leaving Alex.

"To what do I owe this surprise visit?" Alex opened her front door, smiling.

"I missed you," Aaron grinned, telling half of the truth. He did miss her. Even though she had been at his house only three hours ago.

"C'mere, Carter," Alex hugged him, ushering him into her house, "So what's up?"

"I, uh, have some bad news," Aaron said, getting straight to the point.

"Hmm. What's that?" Alex sat down on her couch, gesturing for him to sit beside her. Aaron did so.

"I'm leaving tomorrow," Aaron said, locking eyes with her, "To go to LA."

"Audition?" Alex asked, excited. But she wouldn't be for too long.

"Yeah, a couple," Aaron said, looking at the ground then back at her, "I'll be there for two months or so." Alex just stared at him, finally looking away to take a deep breath.

"Damn. Two months?"

"Yeah I know, it sucks."

"No..." She looked at him, "I mean, you're focusing on your acting and you can't do it here." She shrugged. She understood. Aaron was grateful for that. But would she miss him? He couldn't tell.

"Aren't you going to miss me?" Aaron asked, with a little pout.

"Yeah, but I've missed you before..." She let her voice trail off and she looked away. Aaron watched her eyes as they brimmed with tears.

"Hey...Alex," Aaron reached for her. She clung to him, sniffling as she tried to hold back her tears. Aaron just held her, holding back tears himself. The thought of leaving Alex hurt him. A year ago, it didn't strike a nerve. But now...these past weeks they had grown even closer. Aaron didn't want to leave her.

"You better call me this time," Alex laughed lightly, pulling away, "You never called me before."

"Everyday," Aaron promised, reaching up to ruffle her hair. Alex smiled and ruffled his.

"It's gettin' long. I gotta cut it soon," Aaron said of his hair.

"You should grow it out, like the Surfin' USA days," She giggled. Aaron smiled. He loved her giggle.

"Ha. Hell no," Aaron laughed, "But do you like it long? I could keep it."

"Whatever floats your boat," Alex shrugged.

"No. Seriously. Long or short?"

"Aaron, I'm not your friend because of your hair," She laughed.

Aaron felt two things then: he wanted to be more than a friend to her and two, his actions would reflect her opinions. If she liked his hair long, he'd keep it long. If only she'd tell him.

"When do you leave?" Alex asked, sadness in her voice.

"Tomorrow," Aaron replied, locking eyes with hers. Her eyes brimmed with tears again.

"When tomorrow?"

"Plane leaves at ten." Alex just nodded, taking a deep breath.

"I promise I'll call, everyday," Aaron told her, wishing this goodbye wasn't so hard.

"You better visit, too," Alex told him.

"Most def," Aaron smiled, and pulled her into his arms for another hug. He held her for the longest time, inhaling her sweet scent, making a mental picture of her delicate face for when he missed her.

"So, I guess I'll talk to you later," Alex said, pulling away.

"Yeah," Aaron managed a smile and stood up. Alex stood up, too, and walked him to the door. Aaron fought the urge to tell her he loved her, then pulled her to him for a passionate kiss.

"You better kick ass at those auditions," Alex told him.

"Just for you," Aaron grinned, then walked to his truck, already missing her.

Alex drove to the Carter's the next morning, having made plans to pick up Angel. And to see Aaron. She couldn't believe he was leaving. She didn't want him to. She feared he'd find a girl, or hook up with random ones.

Alex let herself into the Carter's house, finding Angel finishing up her breakfast in the kitchen. Alex walked down the hall to Aaron's room and opened the door, smiling at how cute he looked sleeping. She pounced on him, laughing at the startled look she received.

"Damn, Al," He laughed, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"Just wanted to say goodbye," Alex said, then motioned with her fingers from her eyes to her cheeks, like tears were falling.

"C'mere, Taylor," Aaron hugged her down onto him. Alex sighed happily at the feeling of being in his arms.

"I wish you could come with me," Aaron whispered softly, barely audible. Alex's heart skipped a beat.

"Yeah," Was all Alex could say. She wanted so badly to kiss him, or have him kiss her.

"I'll come back soon, okay? I promise." Alex hugged him tighter, then let go and got off of him.

"See ya," She smiled, then left the room. Angel stood in the hallway, a weird look on her face.

"Don't even say it," Alex warned her, knowing she had seen the whole thing.

Alex's heart felt heavy as she left the Carter's house. When she came back, Aaron would be gone.

Chapter 6

"What's up with you and Alex?" Angel asked Aaron, talking to him on the phone a few days after he left.

"What do you mean?" Aaron asked, rummaging through his suitcases, putting some clothes in the dresser.

"I saw you two the morning before you left," Angel said, "Ya'll datin' behind my back? Because I'm cool with it." God, I wish Alex and I were together.

"Mmm no," Aaron said, walking down the hall and to the kitchen to grab a pop.

"But you like her, right?"

"Yeah," Aaron replied, without hesitation, "Like, I never felt like this towards her before, Ang. It's crazy, but real. I know it."
Aaron sat down at the bar, sipping at his Coke.

"Make your move, bro."

"What about Jared and Nolan? Nolan's got to have a thing for her."

"So? She doesn't towards him. She likes you, Aaron." Aaron almost spit out his Coke.

"Really? She said that?"

"No. But it's written all over her face. She lights up when she sees you, Aaron. She's so happy with you." Aaron smiled.

"I need to come home and see her," Aaron stated.

"Damn right you do." Aaron looked at his schedule, lying the counter. He smiled.

"Soon, Angel. Very soon."

Alex left the township hall, where the Homecoming dance was being held, with her friends. They were headed to Jamie's for a small party.

Alex walked with Angel and Jamie, heading to Jamie's car, when suddenly Jared pulled her away.

"I'll take you," He smiled, making Alex's heart skip a beat. Alex followed Jared to his truck, feeling like she was luckiest girl in the world. All night she had received jealous looks from the girls and Alex was eating it up. Yeah, she went to Homecoming with Jared Geno. She was darn proud of it, too.

"Uh, Jared? We're going the wrong way," Alex looked out the truck window, unsure of her surroundings. They sure as hell weren't near Jamie's.

"I thought we could have a little party of our own, first," He replied, pulling into a driveway. He parked the car and Alex got nervous and scared. He couldn't be serious.

"Come on, Alex," Jared said, flashing her his amazing smile, gesturing to the house. Alex looked at the house. Dark and scary. Probably no one home. Very bad idea.

"Take me to Jamie's," Alex said, a quiver in her voice.

"Later," Jared slid over her, trying to kiss her. Alex pushed him away.

"Now, Jared!" Alex exclaimed, her heart pounding. The scene with Kurt replayed in her mind.

"Come on, baby," He tried to kiss her again. Alex opened the truck door and jumped out, feeling somewhat better.

"Alex, baby, come on," Jared got out of his truck, walking around to her side. Alex stood there, shaking.

"Take me home, Jared," She said firmly, or as firmly as she could. Her hands were shaking as he neared her, and reached out for her.

"Don't touch me!!" Alex screamed. Jared backed away.

"Get your own ride home," He snarled, then walked into his house. Alex ran down the driveway and to the road, trying to figure out where she was. Tears fell as she walked to the street corner. She sat down at the curb and got out her cell.

"Hello?" Aaron answered. Alex couldn't believe she had called him. She thought she had called Angel.

"Sorry, I meant to call Angel," Alex said, ready to hang up.

"Wait! Alex...what's wrong? Where are you?" Aaron asked, obviously concerned. Alex wiped her tears that were falling.

"Nothing. I need to call Angel," Alex told him, wishing he'd let her.

"No. Alex, please tell me where you are. Something's wrong, you're crying." Alex cried harder.

"Please come get me," Alex cried, looking over her shoulder. Jared was standing only ten feet away. Alex jumped up and backed away from him.

"Where are you, Alex?" Aaron asked. Alex cried, telling Jared to leave her alone. Jared walked towards her and Alex backed up, until she ran into the street name pole.

"Alex!" Aaron exclaimed, almost in near panic, "Tell me where you are!"

"Stop, Jared!!" Alex screamed, freeing her wrist from his grasp. He tried to attack her again, so she did the only thing she could do. Hit him where it hurts. Hard.

"Bitch!" He cried, clutching himself. Alex looked up at the street sign.

"I'm at Weber and Paine," Alex told Aaron, as Jared walked back to his house.

"Okay. I'm on my way. Did he hurt you, Alex?"

"Tried to," Alex took a deep breath. Everything crashed her brain. First Kurt, then Jared. Did she look like she was easy or something?

"Are you okay, Al? Is he around? Did he leave?"

"Yeah," Alex said gratefully, "He went into his house."

"Okay. I'll be there soon, okay?"

"Yeah. Thank you," Alex said, then hung up. She looked into the distance, breathing heavily. What a night.

Aaron threw his truck into park, jumped out and ran around to Alex, who was standing at the street corner. If she hadn't just been assaulted, he would've taken time to admire her in her Homecoming dress more. Her makeup was running and her hair was tousled, but she still looked so breath-takingly beautiful.

"Thank you so much for coming," Alex clung to him, still crying softly.

"Did he come back out after we hung up?" Aaron asked, running his hands over her back. She shook her head against his chest.

"Come on," Aaron led her to his truck, and helped her up. Aaron ran around to the driver's side, then glanced at the house. He was ready to kick some ass, if Jared ever showed his face again.

"What are you doing here?" Alex asked, after she calmed down.

"Saving you," Aaron smiled, driving away from the horror.

"I mean in Orlando," Alex laughed softly.

"I missed you," Aaron said honestly.

"You came back to visit me?" Alex asked, looking like she was tearing up again. Aaron reached for her hand and slipped his fingers through hers, squeezing her hand gently. Alex unbuckled and moved to the middle seat, to be closer to Aaron. He continued to hold her hand and she rested her head against his shoulder.

"Thanks for missing me," She said softly, "Otherwise I would've been raped." Those words struck Aaron hard and he squeezed her hand tighter. He wasn't going to let anything bad happen to Alex. That was his new promise to himself and her.

Chapter 7 - to be continued

Aaron crouched down at the side of his house, filling up his big squirt gun. It was Sunday, the day after he had saved Alex from Jared. Alex and Angel were laying by the pool, so he decided to have some fun.

After filling the gun, Aaron snuck up behind Alex's chair, then jumped out to the side. He nailed her with water, laughing at the shrieks coming from the two girls. Aaron moved to squirt Angel, too, which gave Alex a chance to jump up. She tried to push him towards the pool, but he managed to push her instead. She wrapped her arms around his neck before falling in, pulling him along. The pair surfaced and Alex gave him an evil glare, swimming to the ladder.

"Alex!" Aaron swam after her, grabbing her ankles and pulling her back to him.

"Payback's a bxtch," Alex told him.

"I'm sorry," Aaron gave her a pout and his sad puppy dog eyes.

"The pout and the eyes!" She exclaimed, "Alright, Carter. You're forgiven." Aaron grinned and wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her up against him. She looked down at him, her green eyes were sparkling so beautifully. Aaron fought the urge to kiss her. He dropped her just enough to hold her in his arms- one arm under the back of her knees, the other around her back. He carried her to the ladder.

"Thank you, kind gentleman," Alex said, stepping onto the ladder, then turned to look down at him. "Turn around." Aaron did as he was told. Alex sat on his shoulders, much to Aaron's surprise.

"Where's Dustin?" Alex called to Angel, "We could play chicken!" Dustin arrived a minute or two later and the game started.

Alex sat on Angel's bed, staring off into space. Fooling around in the pool with Aaron had been...so much fun. Angel, on the other hand, thought it meant more.

"Fxckin' kiss already," Angel told her, "Ya'll are obviously in love. Someone better admit it soon."

"Do you think he really likes me?" Alex asked.

"Duh. He looks at you like you're the only girl on planet Earth."

"Really?"

"Yes! Make your move, Al," Angel told her, "Ya'll are practically dating already, anyway." Alex just smiled.

"Ya'll decent?" A knock came on Angel's door.

"Yeah," Angel replied and Aaron walked in, smiling at Alex immediately. Alex's heart skipped a couple beats.

"I'm leaving," Aaron said, his smile fading. Alex's heart plummeted. He had to leave?

"Really?" Alex asked, her voice wavering already. Her vision was starting to blur.

"Hey, Alex, come here," Aaron held out his hand to her, then they walked down the hall.

"Fly out next weekend. I'm not too busy, so we can hang out." Alex smiled the idea.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, it'll be fun," Aaron squeezed her hand. Alex smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck for a hug.

"I'll call you with the flight info," Aaron told her, "And just to hear about your day. See if I need to kick anyone's ass." Alex laughed. He had told her yesterday that he'd be willing to seriously injure anyone who hurt her.

"Thanks," Alex pulled away, "So, I'll see ya next weekend?"

"Can't wait," Aaron replied. Alex took a deep breath and stepped back, watching him walk down the hall and down the stairs. She wiped away the single tear that fell, then went back into Angel's room.

"No," Alex cut her off, knowing what she was asking, "But hopefully next weekend."

"Come on, dude!" Craig groaned.

"I'm not in a the mood," Aaron told his friend, sitting on the couch, looking at the TV. Craig was trying to get Aaron to go out and party, but Aaron knew he couldn't trust himself when he drank. If I end up with some chick... He knew that wouldn't go well over with Alex. Even if they weren't dating...yet. In three days, she'd be here. And hopefully they'd be dating before she went home.

"Dude, be the designated driver or whatever," Craig said, obviously desperate. Aaron stood up and shut off the TV.

"Fine. But I'm not drinking," Aaron said.

"Yeah, man," Craig punched his shoulder, then led the way out of the house. Aaron sighed, wondering if he had just gotten himself in over his head.

Alex sat at her computer, clicking to Aaron's forum on LiveDaily. Fans posted all the latest news, and Alex liked to chat and view pictures, too. Alex scrolled down and stopped when she saw the thread title 'Aaron Carter's Late Night of Partying'. She clicked on the thread to view it. It was an article, published earlier today.

Alex read it, her eyes widening as she did so. It talked about Aaron going clubbing with some friends, then leaving for a private party. Paparazzi had captured the private party on the beach. Alex looked at the pictures.

The first couple were of him drinking and just laughing with friends. But then Alex saw a picture that made her stop breathing. Aaron kissing some blonde chick. And it wasn't just a peck on her cheek. A full-blown, tongue-in-her-mouth kiss.

Alex couldn't even close the window. She just stared at the picture. She couldn't believe it.

Chapter 7 - end of it

A couple hours later, Alex answered her front door. The mailman handed her a package, which she took and opened in wonder. She pulled out a small teddy bear, with a heart that read 'I'm Sorry'. Alex had to smile. She hadn't cried too much over Aaron kissing that chick, because she hadn't let herself. But now he had already attempted to make it up to her.

She pulled out a big bag of M&M Mini's, her favorite candy, and a letter.

Alex,
You've probably seen the pictures of the biggest mistake I have ever made. Please believe me when I say that kiss meant nothing. Absolutely nothing. I can't justify that kiss, because I know it was wrong. I'm so sorry, Alex. I should have never gone to that party to begin with. I hope you'll forgive me. If not now, hopefully this weekend. I hope you'll still come, because I miss you like crazy and I want to make it up to you.

Alex smiled, a couple tears falling. She couldn't stay mad at Aaron. She knew him, inside and out. She knew he was truely sorry. She didn't doubt that he had feelings for her, and only her. Maybe two months ago she would've been mad and sad, but not now. Not after they had grown so unbelievably close and were at the point where their first kiss could be at any given second.

Alex put her gifts back in the box, then called Aaron to tell him just how excited she was to be seeing him tomorrow.

Chapter 8 - to be continued

Aaron stood in the airport lobby, waiting for Alex to arrived. He held a single red rose, a couple of bouquets were waiting for her at the house. He hadn't forgiven himself for that night of partying, which led to that meaningless kiss. Alex had told him she didn't care, but he felt like she wasn't completely over it.

Alex came into view and she ran to him, a big smile on her face.

"Hey!" She wrapped her arms around him, hugging him tight. Aaron returned the hug, loving how perfect she felt in his arms.

"This is for you," Aaron handed her rose.

"Awe, thanks!" She grinned, taking it happily. He led the way to the baggage claim, to pick up her bags.

"Damn, Alex. You're here for the weekend," Aaron said, when she took two large suitcases off the rotating claim.

"I bring alot, okay?" She laughed, handing him a suitcase to carry. He led the way out to the parking lot, then to Nick's Mercedes.

"Nick trusts you in this?" Alex joked, "Isn't he worried you'll run over a mattress?"

"Alex..." Aaron shook his head, laughing. She loved to bring that up. He put her suitcases in the trunk, then got in the driver's seat.

"So, how was school?" Aaron asked as he drove out of the parking lot.

"Hmm. Long. The time seemed to stop every so often," Alex replied.

"Anxious to see me?" Aaron grinned, looking over at her.

"Of course. I was getting used to waking you up at lunch everyday. Now it's just an empty bed," She smiled. Aaron ruffled her hair, then looked back at the road. Alex was so perfect for him.

Alex plopped down on the couch after Aaron gave her the grand tour of Nick's house.

"That's cool that Nick's letting you stay here," She said.

"Yeah," Aaron shrugged, sitting next to her, "He hates it when I mess the place up, though. I like to hide the remote before I leave and leave the milk out so when he gets here, it's spoiled." Alex laughed. That was such an Aaron thing to do.

"Wanna grab some dinner? There's this awesome sushi place downtown."

"Yeah, sure," Alex smiled, "Let me change, though." She was wearing track pants and a t-shirt, not exactly clothes for a night out.

She walked down the hallway to the room Aaron had put her in. She picked out a pair of jeans, a black, loose, sequin top and some black heels. She put on some mascara and lip gloss, then brushed through her hair. She grabbed her handbag and joined Aaron in the living room, where he did a double take.

"How do I look?" She asked.

"Gorgeous," Aaron blurted, then blushed slightly. Alex smirked.

"Thanks," She followed him out to the car. Alex couldn't help but smile on the way to the resturant. This weekend is going to be awesome.

Chapter 8 - end of it

"God, I think I'm blinded from all those flashes," Alex said, when Aaron drove off, "When did you become so sought after?" Aaron leaned over and playfully hit her. The paparazzi had gotten up close and personal when they had left the resturant.

Aaron drove along, heading to the beach, where things with Alex would hopefully get even better. There was nothing like a romantic walk on the beach, watching the sunset, to share their first kiss. Aaron looked over at Alex, who was looking out the window. She remained quiet until he parked the car at the beach.

"I love walking on the beach," She smiled, "I did it all the time in Marathon."

"I know. I remember," Aaron smiled. They got out and walked along the beach. Alex took off her heels and went barefoot in the sand.

"Remember when Angel, you and I used to bring out blankets and sit in the sand, watching the sunset?"

"Yeah. We used to look at the stars, too," Aaron replied with a smile. He loved the good ol' days. Aaron looked down at Alex, who was staring at the sky, with it's beautiful shades of red, orange, yellow and pink.

"Hey Alex?" Aaron asked, his hands starting to shake. He couldn't wait any longer. She gazed up at him, smiling beautifully, her green eyes piercing his soul.

Aaron wanted to tell her so many things, and he was having trouble sorting them out in his head.

"I know I screwed up the other day, but you're here...so I'm hoping that means you've forgiven me," Aaron said, then paused to take a deep breath, "I wanna be with you. Not just as a friend. You're my best friend, Alex. But you're more than that, too." Another pause. "I love you." Alex's smile turned into an ear-to-ear grin. Her eyes sparkled even more.

"I love you, too, Aaron," She replied, her words music to his ears. Aaron took a step closer to her, locking eyes with her. He reached up to cradle her beautiful face in his hands. He leaned down slowly and pressed his lips gently against hers. Electricity shot through his body. Aaron deepened the kiss, slipping his tongue into Alex's mouth. Her hands rested against his chest as she returned his kisses. Aaron got lost in her sweet kisses, the warmth and softness of her lips almost too much for him.

They parted eventually, resting their foreheads against each other, grinning like crazy. Aaron wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her to him, never wanting to let go. Alex rested her head against his chest, her arms around his waist. Aaron rested his chin ontop of her head, sighing happily.

"Do you wanna know Angel's theory?" Alex looked up at him.

"Yeah!" Aaron exclaimed, overexcited. Alex laughed.

"She told me that you had a 'thing' for me."

"Hell yeah I do," Aaron smiled, then kissed her sweetly. Alex squeezed his waist.

"Do you have a 'thing' for me?"

"No. I'm kissing you for the press," Alex teased. Aaron pushed her away, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I'm kidding!" Alex laughed, pulling on his arms. Aaron wrapped his arms around her again.

"I know. It's hard to trust girls when it comes to dating. You're the only one who I trust," Aaron gazed into her sparkling eyes, "You're the only one who knows the real me."

"I guess I'm pretty special then, huh?" Alex smiled happily.

"Yeah. I mean, you get to get kissed by Aaron Carter," He scoffed.

"Something else to brag about!" Alex teased. Aaron grinned and kissed her tenderly, then more passionately- his heart pounding and head spinning.

"I love you, Alex," Aaron said, brushing his fingertips over her warm cheeks.

"I love you, too," Alex kissed the tip of his nose, then snuggled against his chest. Aaron smiled happily, feeling like he was floating on air. Right now, everything was perfect. Or as close to perfect as it could get.

"You want me to what?" Alex exclaimed, turning to look at Aaron.

"Come to the magazine party with me tomorrow," Aaron laughed.

"Why?" Alex asked bluntly. The idea of going with Aaron to the Teen People party seemed...unreal. She'd be walking the carpet with Aaron, having her picture taken a billion times, and be known as Aaron's girlfriend. Was she ready for that?

"I wanna show you off," Aaron said sweetly, "Show everyone I'm crazy about this girl." Alex's heart melted.

"Really?"

"No...I just need a date."

"Aaron!" Alex slapped him.

"Kidding! No, seriously...I want to show the world how happy I am." Alex found it hard to say no.

"It's just...I've never had my picture taken a billion times all at once."

"Don't worry about it. It'll be fun," Aaron pulled her closer. They were cuddling on the couch later that night, after their romantic walk on the beach.

"What if people think I'm not good enough for you? What if they call me ugly? What if I trip and fall and embarrass myself?" Alex asked these questions, only because she wanted to hear Aaron's answer. She knew that if any of that happened, she'd just shrug it off.

"If they don't think you're good enough, I'll flip the finger. If they call you ugly, I'll flip the finger. If you trip and fall, I'll laugh my ass off."

"I hate you," Alex glared at him.

"You love me."

"Nope." Aaron gave her his cutest pout and sad puppy dog eyes.

"Alright," Alex groaned, "I love you."

"Mmm. I love you, too," Aaron kissed her tenderly. Alex returned his kisses with more passionate ones. They cuddled in silence, both listening to the other's heart beating and breathing. Alex snuggled up to him, closing her eyes, ready to fall asleep. Aaron cover them with a blanket and Alex drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

Sorry guys. I said 30-40 mins...but it's like, 2 hours later. I didn't have a chance to get on the computer until now. My dad was using it for work.

Anyway, here's Chapter 9. In two parts. With a couple cameos ;D ENJOY!

Chapter 9 - Part 1

Alex stepped out of the limo, the screams pentatrating her eardrums. Aaron ran to the gates to touch his fans. Alex stood in the limelight, wondering what the hell she was doing here. She felt so out of place, so uncomfortable. At least I look hot. Alex wore jeans and a green multicolored top. Her hair had been curled and makeup done to perfection. She was blinged out and wore heels that cost more than all the shoes she owned. It was like, being famous for a day. Sure, she was rich. But this...it didn't compare.

"Come on, babe!" Aaron grinned, slipping his fingers through hers. Alex forced a smile and walked with Aaron along the red carpet.

They stopped soon enough to pose for pictures. Alex felt everyone's eyes on her, and every camera flash on Earth. She tried to stop blinking and look happy. Aaron took both her hands in his, and squeezed him reassuringly.

"Not that bad, huh?" He whispered in her ear. Alex smiled. It wasn't too bad. She turned her body towards him and started to enjoy herself.

Aaron caught Alex off guard, pressing his lips against hers. She had loosened up and they were nearing the end of the red carpet. They had posed in the craziest ways, and also the most romantic ones. From playful headlocks to his hands on her ass to arms wrapped tightly around each other.

Alex smiled when they parted, her piercing green eyes lighting up.

"I love you," Aaron smiled.

"I love you, too, Carter," Alex smiled, pinching his cheeks. Aaron was always playful and crazy at red carpets, and now Alex had grown to join him. Aaron put her in a playful headlock, kissing her forehead. He smiled happily for the cameras. This was his girl...and he wanted everyone to know.

Alex sat at her computer, two days after her appearance with Aaron. She logged onto LD, wanting to read everyone's opinions.

She clicked onto the thread titled 'New pictures with new girlfriend!'. Alex first admired the pictures, laughing at the silly ones and gasping at the ones of Aaron's hands on her ass. She started the read the comments.

Cute pics! His new girlfriend's so cute!

Yeah. If he's happy, I'm happy!

Awe. Hot pics. Aaron's so gorgeous! New girlfriend, I'm guessing. She's really pretty!

I wonder how long that relationship will last. Alex didn't let that comment bug her.

Once a player, always a player. It was the same girl who had posted the other mean comment. Alex tried to ignore her comments, enjoying the comments from people who stuck up for her and Aaron.

He's matured. Look at how long he was with Brittany! I bet he'll be with this girl for awhile.

Alex read through the rest, smiling at the sweet comments directed to her and both her and Aaron. Aaron had some pretty kick ass fans. Alex closed the screen, satisfied that things weren't going to get too rough, now that she was dating Aaron Carter.

Chapter 9 - Part 2

"Callie's startin' shxt," Angel came up behind Alex at her locker.

"What now?"

"Aaron's cheatin' on you and shxt like that."

"I fxckin' hate her," Alex groaned. Not even a week into the relationship, and Callie was already in touch with her jealous side.

"Callie's always had a thing for Aaron," Angel said, "She used to bug me, trying to get me to hook her up."

"I remember that. She needs to get a life. Seriously," Alex said, walking down the hall with Angel.

"Just ignore her. She's full of BS," Angel said. Alex just nodded, trying to put Callie in the back of her mind.

"Hey baby!" Aaron exclaimed happily when Alex answered her cell.

"Hey! What's up?"

"Layin' around, missing you."

"Everytime I talk to you, you're layin' around. I thought you were in LA for business?"

"Believe me, baby. I am. I guess we just talk whenever I'm not busy," Aaron told her. He had two auditions today, but nothing else. Aaron got up and walked to the kitchen.

"So. I have a concert coming up, in Michigan. Wanna come with me? It's a Saturday."

"Sure. I've been reading about it online."

"What about it?"

"Oh, the fans that are going are all excited. It's kinda cool...they're hoping I'll be there." Aaron grinned.

"Yeah. They'll love to meet you," Aaron told her, "But they'll be all over you, asking for info and whatnot."

"Damn. I feel like I'm a celebrity."

"Well, you're dating one. So it's like, second hand celebrity status." Alex laughed and Aaron smiled, loving to hear her laugh.

"How's life?"

"Eh. Callie's been sayin' shxt."

"Like what?"

"How'd you'd be so much more happy with her and you don't deserve me."

"That's bullshxt," Aaron stated, grabbing a pop from the fridge.

"Yeah, well, it's Callie."

"Still. You don't believe her, right, Alex? I deserve you and only you. I'm so incredibly happy with you."

"I love you," Alex said, "You know how to win a girl's heart." Aaron laughed.

"Only yours, Alex," Aaron said seriously. Aaron sipped at his pop, sitting at the bar.

"I miss you," Alex told him softly, "I miss seeing you everyday."

"Same here, baby. I miss you and love you so much," Aaron's heart ached for her presence.

"Three days," Alex said.

"I can't wait," Aaron smiled, hoping that the next three days would fly by.

Alex held Aaron's hand, walking into the venue. She had flew to Michigan last night, where Aaron had treated her to dinner, then they cuddled all night, watching movies. Today, though, Aaron had a concert.

They walked along the corridors on the back of the theatre, passing all the crew. A woman stopped them, wearing a Radio Disney shirt. Aaron talked to her for a couple minutes, something about a meet and greet, then they continued walking.

"I've got a meet and greet before the show," Aaron told her, smiling, "You can sit by me, if you want." Did she? Alex just smiled, wondering if that'd be the right thing to do. His fans wanted him...would they care if she was nearby?

"Is that okay, baby?" Aaron's words broke Alex's thoughts.

"What? Sorry," Alex said sheepishly.

"A photographer wants to take backstage pictures, for the theater's website," Aaron told her, "You cool with that?" Alex couldn't process her thoughts. Why was this happening so fast? She wasn't the famous one, but now her picture was going to be everywhere.

"Uh..." Alex smiled weakly.

"They don't have to post any of you," Aaron squeezed her hands, his eyes searching hers, "I can make sure they don't." Alex realized how selfish she was then.

"It's okay," Alex smiled, nodding, "I just...it's weird."

"I know. Maybe they can just post one of us? Like, with the radio crew. Ya know, so it's a group shot. Not just me and you. Is that cool?"

"Yeah," Alex told him, but still a little uncomfortable with the idea. It'll pass, She told herself, but not completely believing it would.

Alex sat beside Aaron at the meet and greet table, feeling very uncomfortable. She didn't understand that at all. She had never felt uncomfortable around Aaron...until she became his girlfriend. Why was that?

"Hey!" A female fan stood in front of Alex, braking her thoughts, "You're Aaron's girlfriend, right?"

"Yeah. I'm Alex," Alex managed to say, having this awful feeling in the pit of her stomach that the girl was going to bxtch her out because she was with Aaron.

"I'm Brandy," The girl smiled, making Alex feel somewhat better, "You and Aaron look so cute and happy together!" Alex grinned, feeling a hundred times better.

"Thank you," Alex replied politely, just as another female joined Brandy.

"I'm Mel," She smiled, "And ditto to what Brandy said." The three of them laughed and Alex felt a wave of happiness wash over her. She relaxed and chatted with the girls, until they were moved along and more fans stopped to talk to her. Alex smiled in spite of herself. This wasn't hard and it wasn't like she had expected. The fans liked her, plain and simple. Alex couldn't of been happier. What was I worrying about?

I kinda ended it (in the next chapter) in a sense...like, it could end. But I could continue, too, if I wanted too. Idk.

Chapter 10 - Part 1

Alex dragged her feet as she walked into her house. School today had been horrible. Callie continued with her accusations, calling Aaron a player and cheater. She continued to rag on Alex, saying he didn't deserve her. All in all, since becoming Aaron's girlfriend...her wonderful life had taken a complete u-turn.

Alex laid in bed that same night, tossing and turning, Callie's awful words repeating in her head. Alex reached onto her nightstand and grabbed her cell, calling Aaron.

"Hey baby," He answered, the sound of his voice already soothing to her.

"I can't sleep. Will you sing to me?"

"What song?"

"Surprise me." Aaron did just that, singing the first verse and chorus of "I'm All About You". Alex loved him for singing to her, dedicating one of his songs to her. If only Callie's words would stop repeating, then Alex would be able to enjoying Aaron's dedication more.

Aaron walked around LA aimlessly. He had the time off, Alex was in school, so he was bored as hell. Lately, she seemed tired and worn out whenever they talked. He knew she had easy classes, so it couldn't be having a ton of homework. Aaron didn't know what was up.

Aaron stopped in front of a gift shop, with various items in the window. He walked in, figuring he'd get something for Alex. He soon spotted a cute teddy bear and picked it up. Aaron neared the candle area and the sweet aroma filled his lungs. He picked out an assortment of products. A big vanilla candle and three small tea candles in ocean breeze, cucumber melon, and tangy citrus. He then picked out a vanilla car freshener, remembering Alex's want for one. Aaron made his purchases and took the gifts home to wrap. This'll brighten Alex's day.

Alex balled her hands into fists. Callie did not just say what I think she said.
"What the hell are you saying now?" Alex turned around. They were in the parking lot after school, and Callie had just spoken loud enough for Alex to hear.

"The truth," Callie said, smirking, "My cousin lives in LA and hits all the hottest clubs. Aaron was at one and left with a chick."

"Like I'd believe you," Alex crossed her arms over her chest.

"Take a look," Callie showed Alex a picture. Alex's heart plummeted. He was with a girl...could Callie be telling the truth? Alex looked closer. Maybe she Photoshopped it...

"I'm really sorry, Alex," Callie said in a fake voice, "I know you loved him so much." Alex just stared at the picture. Aaron wouldn't do that! Alex thought, Or would he?

Chapter 10 - Part 2

Alex got home that day after school, that picture that Callie had showed her still haunting her. Alex trusted Aaron and wanted to believe Callie had someone mess with a picture on a computer...but there was a small part of her that wondered if Aaron had really taken a chick home.

Alex walked up to her room, gasping in the doorway. Her room was filled with wonderful smelling candles and a cute teddy bear sat on her bed. Alex's heart melted when she read the note, that was resting against the bear.

Alex, I love you. More than anything else. You mean the world to me, baby. Never forget that.

Alex forgot about Callie and her picture and got out her cell to call Aaron.

"Calling me?" Aaron appeared in her doorway. Alex grinned and ran to him, jumping up into his arms.

"I love you so much, Aaron," Alex murmured, her head in his shoulder. Her legs were wrapped around his waist, and her arms were around his neck. She clung to him, never wanting to let go. Tears fell as the image of Aaron with another girl came back.

"Baby...don't cry," Aaron kissed her forehead. He carried her to a chair, then sat down, holding her on his lap.

"Alex...what's wrong?" Aaron asked, when Alex continued to cry softly. He brushed her hair away from her face.

"Callie's messin' with me," Alex told him, "She said you were at a club the other night and left with some chick. Then she showed me this picture, as if to prove it."

"Alex, look at me," Aaron said. Alex did so, tears still falling freely.

"I never went to a club," Aaron told her, "I know what'll happen if I do. I'll drink and then end up with some chick. The only time I'll go to a club is with you." Alex smiled happily and buried her head in Aaron's shoulder. Those were the words she needed to here.

"I'm really sorry, baby," Aaron said softly, running his hands over her back soothingly. Alex looked at him, confused. What was he sorry about?

"This is hard for you, isn't it?" Aaron asked her. Alex nodded numbly. She was stressed out, tired, and pissed off all the time...due to the fact of Callie's jealousy over her dating Aaron.

"I wish it wasn't, baby," Aaron continued running his hands over her back, "I hate that all this is happening to you. I just want you to be happy." Alex smiled.

"I am happy," Alex told him, "I've got you." Aaron smiled and kissed her passionately, making Alex's heart flutter and mind race.

"I love you so much," Alex said, smiling as she pulled away. Aaron made everything better. In his presence, nothing mattered besides the two of them. Not Callie...not anything. It was just them...against the world.
