Oh, and BTW, if you are still in the 39% who approve of Bush these days, remember to look here for more questions the pollsters need to ask you: http://talk.livedaily.com/showthread.php?t=494687&page=1&pp=15 post # 14.

Contrary to what the social worker keeps telling you, I never married your mother.
And now I am done with you. On ignore you will go. It will make my life much simpler.
Toodles, dillwad18. I'd say it's been fun, but why lie?

Okay -- I have to reply to this one, not so much for David's sake, because I assume he knows better (i.e., better versed in history than his simple post would suggest) and that he posted his map for the ha-ha factor only, but for the others who may not have such a firm grasp on history...
First, looking at the Lincoln-era map, what I see are agricultural states (red states) and industrial states (blue states). A different set of needs. But perhaps David was trying to advance the notion of the blue states as having always been more liberal, more tolerant, more accepting. That of course would explain the all black civil war regiments out of the blue states. Or perhaps it would explain the difference between indentured servants (which the northern Blue States had in abundance and were mainly white) and slaves (which the Southern Red States had in abundance and were black). Or perhaps in discussing the Blue Sates liberal history, David would care to discuss the New York and Chicago tentaments and sweat shops, just to name a few.
But let's look at slavery today...even though denied, the countries with the most slaves are Sudan and Niger -- I think we all need to keep in mind that America did not invent slavery, but that America did end slavery.
So, David, your point again?
