Mariah Carey is thankful for the breakdown she suffered four years ago, because it saved her from a worse fate.

The singer collapsed suffering from exhaustion in 2001, resulting in a lengthy spell in hospital - which she now blames on a punishing and self-imposed work schedule.

But she insists: "My breakdown was my breakthrough. After my marriage ended. I worked myself into the ground. Eventually my body reminded me that I was human and I needed to create balance in my life."

I really don't think Mariah would have said that it doesn't seem like she would say something like that.

Yeah I love and own all of those! My all time favorites are her "Merry Christmas" and "Glitter." "Glitter" is amazing and I believe was very underated.

Everyone made it seem like it sold literally barely anthing, when the album went gold. I know its not Mariah status, but the album received certifications.

So true and the odd thing is that they ignore proof too. Like links can be provided and charts and so fourth, but people just lie and will do anything to put who they would like down. Mariah is so talented because she is very hands on with her music and career! I think people confuse fame with success. They are certaintly not the same thing!

Yes, I have the "Wise Girls DVD" and the first few minutes I really don't get because it kind of leaves you lost in the first part.

2. She goes to see her grandma and then she cries again


3. She asks her grandma if it would be ok if she stayed awhile her grandma says yes
