What has been the most fun part of this ride on the Backstreet rollercoaster for you?
I'd have to say indulging my insane inner fan and just jawing and mulling over all things Backstreet with the odd, occasional perv. I had no idea I would be this...umm...enthusiastic over these guys and if you had told me this right before the Backstreets (the disease, not the guys) hit, I would have laughed in your face and told you don't be silly.
What's it been like for you?

I know exactly what you mean.. I had no idea that I would have been able to have these type of feelings for a music group.. especially one much younger than I am .. I was never this way in my younger days.. sure I had crushes but nothing.. nothing to this extent..and now .. every since I took my 13 yr daughter and her friend to their first BSB concert in Cincinnati.. I have been totally hooked on them .. I did try to distance myself from them and this board but now that we have our tickets again and are going to be seeing them for the 4th time.. it is just getting too hard to contain .. and I hope there is definitely no cure for this disease .. its too much fun ..and look at us.. where do we go first thing in the morning.. to check out this board and to see what is new in the BSB world.. I have plenty of other things I definitely could be doing.. but this comes first.. and then again and again till I go to sleep and hope to have some wonderful dreams !! And I dont really care if my hubby thinks I am absolutely crazy and my sons (17 & 15) think the same.. I am very proud to be a BSB crazed fan .. and it is just wonderful that we all have a place to come to and express these feelings and know that everybody understands

MerryK -- Hooray! I'm not the only mother (of teenagers) who's in love with a pop group! LOL My kids are 17 (son), 14 and 13 (daughters) and they make fun of my obsession with NSync all the time! I like BSB as well, but my real obsession is NSync, and my kids think it's the funniest thing in the world!!!!

It's been a thrill to discover that there is still life in this old bod! I have had so much fun being a crazed teenybopper type again, and I am so much more intense than I ever was as a real teenager. Thank goodness my daughter has come over to the Backstreet side with me and we can share our thoughts (well, not all of them). I have been amazed at myself and how big a fan I have become. I MUST check the boards every day to catch up on any news or rumor. I agonize over every perceived slight to the Boys. I glory in each triumph. They have become a part of my everyday life and I really don't know how that happened, but I love it. Thank goodness I am not alone in my madness!

I've had the most fun, in my never ending obsession for the Backstreet Boys.
I have a few partners in Crime.. and it's really brought us all closer.
My bff and I live about 300 miles away from our other 2 counterparts.. but that doesn't stop us from seeing each other about 3 times a month and calling every single day.
The other week, We sat and talked about everything we've ever done to get close to our boys, and just crazy things we've done in general regarding them. We laughed our fool heads off. It's really been quite a trip, and I've loved every second of it.

Amen to that :D!!!
The excitement and giddy feeling I get when I see them on TV or better yet, in concert, is the best! I love it. It's like the feelings I remember as a teenager when I had a crush.
And being a part of this board and knowing all of you wild and crazy people has brought me hours of enjoyment :). Can't imagine my life without it.

I totally agree with all of you... I'm 28 and my nieces got me into them. All of the sudden one day I found myself buying there cds, calendars, concert tickets. Now there is no turning back. I am addicted and love it! Lord thank you for my fav. Mr. Carter himself!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me it's been being able to find something that's mine and getting to run with it. When I was a younger I never got to pick the music that was on the radio, and don't even think about going to a concert or buying mag's with some singers pics in it. So now that I'm 22 I get to enjoy the freedom to adore the music that these wonderful guys put out and go to their concerts and buy magazines with the boys in them. And it's been great that my best friend is a fan too because I have someone to share this obsession with. I can listen to their music or go to their concerts and be who I am and it doesn't matter.

I can definitely relate, LLS, about the guys bringing life back in the "old bod". Although no way in hell could anything ever come of it, the fantasies are fun and have gotten me through more than one crummy day personally. I'm way behind most of y'all - never met a BSB, never even seen a concert live. But the feelings and emotions they have brought to my heart will stay with me forever.
As will the laughter all of you here on LD have brought me. I don't know any of you at all (well, I know a few first names), but you're all very special in your own way, each one of you, and I feel like I've made some true friends here. You've let me say what I've needed to say, and vent when I needed to, without making me feel like a total no-life, loser doing it. (Thats more than I can say for some of my "friends" and family members.) Thank you all for that.
Sorry, didn't mean to take this there, just wanted y'all to know. BSB group hug, anyone?
