WORLDWIDE PRINT EXCLUSIVE: NICOLE RICHIE SPLITS WITH FIANCE


LOS ANGELES -- Us Weekly has learned exclusively that Nicole Richie, 24, and fiance Adam "D.J. AM" Goldstein, 32, have called it quits. "They have decided to break off the engagement," Richie's rep Cindy Guagenti confirms to Us. "The decision is mutual."

Sources tell Us Weekly that the pair, who had dated since 2003 and were to wed next year, decided to break up a few days ago. Of her planned nuptials, Richie told Us earlier this year, "I'm so happy. We're taking it slowly."

That's sad. I was actually happy for them. When Nicole was with him she definitely looked like she had it together a lot better than her good ol' ex:scratch: ? buddy, Paris.

yeah, i really really hoped they'd make it. then again, no one really suspected the Nick and Jessica thing until pretty much the end(well, some time before the end, but yeah.). its a shame that all these couples are breaking up... i just hope the trend of getting married, starting a family, and staying together becomes popular again.

That's a total shocker to me when I heard. Its so sad, seems no one can last these days out in Hollywood, I thought for sure if anyone did it would be them. They seemed so in love!

seems like no one is staying together or even getting to marriage this year
