Planning on going this weekend. I'll let you know. On a side note have you seen how much weight Jackson has lost? Wow! Somewhere I read or heard it's somewhere around 70 LBS.

I saw it last night! IT WAS AMAAAAAAAAAAAZING! The special effects in the old one were a little better but I can let it slide
It was definitely one of the best if not THE best movie all year. I have to see Chronicles of Narnia today first before I decide.

It doesn't even rate in my top ten of the year. The special effects were much better in this one than the old one, though. There were a few spots where the effects looked very fake, but overall I thought they were great.

I'm pretty sure you've seen less than half of those movies.

I'm pretty sure you don't have any idea what I've seen. Though I will admit, I haven't seen all of those because I don't have the time or money to run to the theatre every time a good movie comes out. That's why they make DVDs.
But the 40-Year Old Virgin in their top ten makes me laugh. It was good, yeah yeah, Steve Carell is awesome, good message blah blah. It wasn't that great. The other choices are noble, and I agree with some of them. At least you've proven you don't have horrible taste.
But King Kong definitely is up there above several of those. Anyone who can take an already awesome movie, and re-make it so beautifully - without losing any of the original charm, and keeping all of the heart and meaning amidst the kickass action - that's a top ten.

If you like that sort of movie, then yes, it's a top ten for you.
