Britney Spears is making her pop comeback - by guesting on hubby Kevin Federline's debut album

Britney Spears, 24, who quit the music business after her 2004 Onyx Hotel Tour to get married and start a family, sings back-up vocals on several tracks on Kevin Federline's upcoming album.

According to Federline, 27, who told the news in Ryan Seacrest's Los Angeles radio show, Britney Spears sings, but doesn't rap.

Thanks goodness.

The first official single, PopoZao, Brazilian slang for big butt, is available for download on music.yahoo.com, MTV reported. Even more, Britney Spears will help Kevin to market the tracks, as soon as he has garnered a fanbase of his own, wannabe rap star told MTV.

But is this exactly a comeback Britney Spears really wants? Or needs?

Thanks for posting. I'm not sure why they think she "quit the music business" in 2004, since then she's released a GH with 3 new songs, a Chaotic Bonus CD with 4 new songs, and a Remix album with 1 new song, and she's in the process of working on her next studio album, but whatever.

The story I heard is that Kevin and Britney have recorded songs together, but they won't be released on Kevin's first CD - they want him to have more of his own fanbase first. I believe Britney will be in the PopoZao video though.
