One of the names announced tonight was the late Eddie Guerrero. The WWE Hall of Fame will be on April 1!!

I think this year's hall of fame will be very emotional!!

I believe Guerrero and Bret Hart are the only two who have been announced. I expect a few more to be announced later, but those two are definitely worthy of such an accomplishment.

On Smackdown!, they announced Bret as the first inductee. They've been talking about that for a while, so it was expected. I wonder if Owen will be inducted as well.

I think they should focus on the older 80's wrestlers rather than more recent ones. The British Bulldog and Dyanmite Kid should definitely be inducted sometime soon.

I wonder who it will be?! Plus another news: Hall of Fame will be televised on USA on Saturday, April 1.

On April 1, the night before WrestleMania 22, WWE will welcome its Class of 2006 into the WWE Hall of Fame. Tickets went on sale for the huge event Saturday morning at 10 a.m. CT, and in less than five minutes, it was sold out. But you’ll still be able to witness this historic occasion because the USA Network will be airing the ceremony, Saturday, April 1 at 11/10 p.m. CT.

The first two names announced for this year’s induction are Bret “Hit Man” Hart and the late, great Eddie Guerrero. Tune in to RAW tonight at 9/8 CT on the USA Network to find out who will be the next addition to the Class of 2006.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is the next inductee into the Hall of Fame!
Another name will be announced on SmackDown this Friday.

I'm happy for Mean Gene. I was thinking more in terms of wrestlers, but I have no problem seeing announcers inducted as well. Maybe Howard Finkel will be inducted next time.

Sensational Sherri was named the next inductee!!
She had a decent career as a manager and a great career as a wrestler, so I can see her being inducted. I'm sure Shawn Michaels or Ted Dibiase(I think he works behind the scenes in WWE today) will be the ones to induct her in. I was expecting the earlier wrestlers to be inducted though.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin will induct Bret Hart

Thanks. I'm assuming Eddie will be inducted last. That will be very sad. I'm very interested to see what Austin says about Bret. I'm still curious as to why he's still under contract under WWE.

Verne Gagne will join the group!! His son will induct him!! Also, "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase will induct "Sensational" Sherri.

Verne Gagne is a good choice. He wrestled a long time ago, so I'm not too familiar with him as a wrestler.

I don't even think Verne Gagne did wrestle in the WWE. I assume the Hall of Fame is meant for your wrestling accomplishments and not WWE/WWF accomplishments.

Do they show it live in the UK, or do they show it the following day at a better time? I have heard that Europe gets the PayPerViews for free, so that's definitely better than paying $30-$50 for one.

at the moment we wont get to see the hall of fame ceremony its not currently scheueled to be on....if it was it would be free but yeah like u said we used to get your pay-per-views for free but not any more we are now getting charged for all the major events like wrestlemania, royal rumble etc so vince really is raking the money in from all over the world now.

That's a shame. How much does it cost? I hope it's not as expensive as it is in the United States.

They are a great choice. I'm assuming that there won't be any more inductees announced after this. This year's inductees are as good as they have ever been IMO.

That is embarassing. I believe he only wrestled one match, and he gets in there before the Dynamite Kid. What a joke. He really only had one good year in football, and that was it.

I have to congradulate Tony Atlas on an achievement well-deserved. I thought he was already in the Hall of Fame though.

I think it's shown live. It's on at 11:00 PM ET according to my local newspaper. It only lasts an hour though. I thought it would be longer. I wish I had cable at the moment. I thought this year had some of the best inductee's they've had until Perry was announced.

I've asked my parents to get our family cable but they won't listen.:greyno: I may be moving out this year so I should be able to watch stuff like this. Anyways, did the induction ceremony last 3 hours or were they doing other stuff for those first two hours? One hour seems so short but three hours would seem far too long.

I believe there is. However, I don't think they're quite as exciting as this year's inductee's(with the exception of William Perry, of course) so I haven't bought the DVD.
