meeting people on the internet

i was just curious, i have never met someone from the internet. i take it on here people have met each other. Did it turn out good? has anyone ever had a bad experience meeting someone from the internet?

There's no guarantee. I've had 2 good experiences and 1 bad one. It changes things. Just don't have high expectations of how that person is supposed to be and things should be fine. And of course all the regular parental advice (meet in a public place, introduce them to people you know, blah blah blah). Whether it turns out good or bad just has to do with whether or not you're a good match with the person. Sometimes you're compatible online but not in person.

Don't do anything crazy. :D
