David Beckham has been ruled out of Real Madrid's clash with Valencia this weekend.
The England international suffered a groin strain during the warm-up of Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash with Arsenal.
Beckham played through the pain barrier at Highbury, but he has been told he needs to rest the injury.
The former Manchester United ace is expected to be sidelined for up to a week with the problem.
"I won't be able to be with the team for the next five or six days," Beckham told the club's website.
"I felt something in the warm-up (for Wednesday's match against Arsenal), but I carried on as best I could."
