Mariah Carey has something to say about all those rumors that she had a breakdown and tried to kill herself: No way!
Carey tells the March issue of Marie Claire magazine that her frenetic schedule in 2001 was akin to "telling the Energizer Bunny to work three times harder."
She says she needed a break and retreated to her mother's house to rest.
"They all said I'd had a nervous breakdown, but people don't recover from nervous breakdowns three days later!"
Now that that mess is behind her and Carey is again enjoying success, does she wish she had someone with whom to share it?
"The thing is, I have trust issues. If I'm with another famous person, they're likely to have groupies, and they're likely to cheat on me," she laments. "This is why I can still count the number of men I've slept with on one hand."
