I have some very sad news. I hope that she won't mind, but I'm going to simply let you read the letter that I just found in my personal email box to me from Mrs. Marx.

"Dear Shelly and Christina,
I don't exactly know how to say this, but this morning at 546am, our
Christina passed away. Her little body was filling up with fluid.
Christina's body got tired and told us that this is enough. I know that
Christina is better off where she is, but I am also very jealous because I
will not be able to see her smile or laugh. I really do know that we did all
we could do, and Christina fought all the way to the end. It has been a long
3 1/2 years. It was a very emotional night. I am very tired right now, I
haven't slept in 32 hours. Once I can I will update you on more details. I
will never forget how wonderful you both were to my Christina. Christina was
so kind to dedicate the song for her and then look for her in the crowd.
Christina really thought that Christina was her special friend, and she loved
her music. I would really appreciate it if you would write a thread to let
all the wonderful people in the threads about Christina. I will write
something..but not today... Barb"

Oh my god :( I don't know what to say.. I'm... I'm at a loss of words.. One thing I can think to say is this, although I personally did not know Christina Marx, I will never forget this..
I'm not sure if Mrs. Marx will be reading this.. or how she feels about reading these, but our intentions in what we're saying mean well. I think it came to a shock for all.. it did for me anyways.

this is so shocking and at the same time saddening, when we all thought things might be getting a little bit better... :(

I know how it feels to have somebody die from cancer. I had to live through it 3 times. My grandfather died from lung cancer before I was even born. I know it was very hard on my father. Lived through my grandmother having a long, slow, painful death last year, and another one is in the process right now. Its very agonizing. May God be with her and her family during this difficult time.

I think NikDC said it best when she said that there is not a word that could make up for this loss. It's really sad to hear about what happened to Christina, I only learned about her just days ago since I have not been to the board in awhile but I wish I came back earlier to learn about her. It's sad to see someone as young and as fragile as Christina to go thru all this pain, but now the pain is gone and she is in a better place. And even though physically, christina is not around, she will always be remembered and kept in all our hearts forever and ever. I know little Christina will give Mrs. Marx the will and strength to accept this and move on, and I know little Christina will be watching over all of us forever and ever.

Mrs. Marx and family! I'm soo very sorry for your loss I know christina fought a hard battle! Now she is in a better place and we all have to remember that!! I was told by one of my friends, who checked the board this morning, today right before my pre-school class it brought me to tears. Then i get to pre-school and my little girl amanda who is 5 runs up to me and gives me a great big hug! I just hugged her thinking all that little christina went through at such a young age and all i could do is cry! I felt like i knew chrisitna even though we have never met and i havent even seen a picture only becuase this board pulled together durring this time! And I thank Mrs. Kearns for itroducing us... I know how it feels to be touched by a young person dieing of cancer. :( A girl I knew was 16 when she passed away. She faught a long, hard 12 year battle until that day. My uncle passed away at 4 from cancer. (I wasn't born yet). I know how it effects the whole family, and I know that you need a lot of support right now-something we can give. :(

i'm so sorry. i am literaly about to cry yall, all i can offer at this point is my prayers and to ask you to tell mrs marx that we all feel for her loss. and i am honored that you'd give us the open invite to read the letter, i know it was probably hard for both you and christina to read it yourselves much less post it here for us to read also. i don't know much about little christina but as long as she was a christina fan, she must have been cool.
