Arsenal ace Freddie Ljungberg faces up to ten days on the sidelines with a calf problem.

Ljungberg picked up the injury in last weekend's win over Liverpool and was forced off early in the clash at Highbury.

The Swedish international is expected to be out of action for ten days and Ljungberg admits he should not have played against Liverpool in the first place.

"We are hoping that I will be back in ten days," Ljungberg told Expressen.

"I had an X-ray today and it showed that I had got a new strain in the calf, in addition to the first one I got against Real Madrid.

"I shouldn't really have played versus Liverpool, but it was an important match."

Ljungberg will be missing for this weekend's home clash with Charlton, but Arsenal will be hoping he is available for the trip to Portsmouth on March 25.

Wayne Rooney has fired out a chilling warning to the rest of The Premiership and England's World Cup opponents by insisting he is still learning.

The Manchester United striker has been in top form for much of this year, but finally found the goals in The Premiership to complement his play when putting Newcastle to the sword with a double salvo on Sunday.

Rooney's potential was there for all to see from the day he made his debut for Everton as a 16-year-old, but he feels his game has improved since he made the switch to Old Trafford.

"I'm really enjoying my football at the moment and I'm learning all the time," he told The Sun.

"I feel sharper than I ever have - and that's down to myself and the fitness coach at United.

"I have only been here for 18 months but I feel I'm a better player already and I am maturing on the pitch."

Rooney's finishes against The Magpies were of the highest quality, although hugely different in their execution, but the former Everton man was more focused on the openings he passed up.

"I think not taking those chances is what we should be disappointed about," he added.

"The whole team played very well but the only disappointing thing was that we didn't score more goals."
