View Full Version : Moving on.. [[not o/t]]

Im posting this to see if anyone else feels this way, not trying to offend anyone on here, just stating an opinion:

Is anyone else sort of moving on from Aaron, or is it just me? I mean, I still like his music and yeah, if he gets a new cd out i'll still buy it.. If he comes near me on tour i might go to a show maybe, but i never listen to him or think of him or talk about him or even remember he exsists sometimes.
Yesterday my room had been covered with BSB and AC posters for over 9 years. Today my room is covered with hawthorne heights, Fall out boy, plain white ts, conway, gatsbys american dream, and panic at the disco. Everyone always tells me that people change for good, I think Aaron's changed, but is it for good? I'm not sure. He was so different 3 years ago. Now we barely hear a word from him evety two or three months.
He promised us a cd back in '04. We got a single on March 22 '05. Almost a year later, we have had many sources telling us a release month, but never having him follow up. How do we know he's even making a cd? We don't, we can guess, we can find sources, but can we rely on them? I'm done relying on false sources, and broken promises. I'm sick of being let down on this cd.
Sorry if this seems negetive or deep, but I'm just trying to put down what I'm feeling. I needed to release how I felt, and see if Im alone, and see whose with me on this. I'm still kind of a fan, sort of. I like a few songs, but I wouldn't say I'm a HUGE fan. It's not the same as I was last year. Last year I could barely breathe when he was barely two feet away from me, but now if he was two inches away from me it wouldn't be the same, and I don't think that'll change.

Y'all have been there for me more times than I can even remember. I always know I can turn to you guys to talk too.

Thanks for being there for me,

<3 Mol

Yeah. I know...I'm becoming fans of other stuff like P! At The Disco, Green Day, and a whole bunch of other stuff, not just AC, Jmac, and BSB anymore..Well, those other two are different, cos they actually put out CDs...I dont know. Lol, when i first read this title, it made me think of this song I wrote...

But times been here and gone
we're getting older
Are we moving on?
You told me we'd be friends till the end
Its too soon
No I cant pretend
but I guess you're moving on....

I dont know..Maybe he's really gonna have a 'comeback' or maybe he's better off trying to live a normal life, even if he may not get there for a while. But hey, if he actually will come back with music, I'm not complaining

Jess, that was brilliant...very well said. Ya, I feel kind of the same way. I think it's because I've grown up a lot, ya know? I mean, I'm not gonna just drop Aaron (and BSB for that matter) completely, because...this may sound corny...but he was like a huge part of my childhood. Like my first concert EVER was when I was 11, and it was Aaron opening for the Backstreet Boys. I have a lot of memories of him, and it's really hard to let go of that stuff ya know? Like now, I'm older and I've moved on from a lot of the teeny bopper culture, mostly because I'm too distracted by stupid crap like school and work. lmao. But, I think once you're a fan, stay a fan. If Aaron doesn't release a new CD until 2035, I'll still buy it.

i understand where you are coming from but the best thing you can do right now is to support aaron and the decisions he's making with his career. he is working on a new album but it's taking him a while.. he has a lot to change and he doesn't wanna be seen the way he has been previously. he wants to gain respect in the industry and to do that its going to take a lot but he can do it. he has a lot on his plate right now, music and otherwise... maybe it's not you being a huge fan that changed, maybe it's just you growing up. i know many many people who used to be like insane about whatever artist and now can actually have a normal conversation and appreciate them for how they are and as a person...rather than some fictional person they made up in their head that they wanted them to be.

a lot of the push backs for the album weren't all aaron's fault. he wanted to go a different way with his music and grow up and some people in the industry didn't really want that to happen and wanted him to just stay in his little thats how i beat shaq aarons party comfort zone. its not him anymore.. he's a completely different person..it was nice and all at the time, but he's 18.. he'll be 19.. he can't really sing about jumping on fizzies and playing his sega dreamcast when he chills anymore. he's taking a stand with his new material and working with plenty of people that he's been wanting to work with for a LONG time. just a few nites ago he was having a really hard time talking to me because he was distracted and writing a song.. the kid has it in him and it's coming.. just be patient.. even though that may be a lot to ask because it's been a while. if you really honestly are a fan, you can do it. :)

kk im done now byee

its freaking thinking he will nearly be 20 haha. i am use to thinking of him as really young. on the topic anyway- i stil love ac no matter what- i have been a fan for sooooo long and when i finally got to meet him. i was so excited. to me he is a celebrity because he is so far away from where i live and for me to actuallly be in the same room as him was insane. always support him no matter what.

i agree with you completely, aaron was my first concert when i was 10 too. He was a hugeee part of my childhood, as was BSB.

Aaron has changed but I will still be there for him and support him no matter what. He just needs to find his style music wise and his fans probably have to adjust to his new style too. But he'll be back, we just have to be patient and we'll see that it was all worth waiting for. I like Aaron not only for his music but also because he's such a cool guy, friendly and down to earth and he inspires me a lot. So I'm definetly still a fan.

aaron was a big part of my life too. so i can never just stop and just forget about him. but i am not crazy like i use to be. i use to get so sad when he was going out with a girl but now i couldn't care less. i guess it a good think now that i can be normal and i can be just a fan and not a crazy one. lol

Yeah, I agree with all of you in some way or another. Aaron is getting older...but in my opinion, I think he's done with singing. I know that sounds horrible, but I don't think he's gonna record anymore...regardless of what people think or say. I am not trying to be rude of other's opinions but I don't think he wants to do all of this, all over again. He wants to be a regular guy for once in his life. He likes it, from everything we've all heard...I love the kid, but I think it's all up to him now.

I hope ya'll understand where I was coming from =/
I hate that if it's the truth...

^Yeah, I've thought that too. Every show of his I went to last year, I kept asking myself, 'is this the last time I'll ever get to see him live?' But I guess he's working on music right now, but I just hope he still has his heart in being an entertainer, because there's been moments, especially recently, where I thought he was just going to walk away for good. I hope that doesn't happen though.

In my opinion....and it is TOTALLY JUST MY OPINION....He's in no position to just walk away. If he quits singing, he'll have nothing else going for him. So far, his acting career is a bust, he doesn't have any secondary education and let's be serious here people....do you really think he's actually going to complete at least 4 years of college? Probably not. I know we all love him and support him and what not, but IMO he's just not in any position to just walk away from singing.

I know how you feel. I am not a huge fan anymore because there's been a lot of let-downs. I used to be a big fan not just because of his music but also because he was sweet and a nice person. Now, I'm a fan of his music, not because I think he's cool. Yeah it's his life, I'm not telling him how to live, but I'm just giving my opinion on it.
He'd barely been doing anything new in music since 2003. I feel like he's not giving his best to reach the fans. He stopped appreciating their support.

Well I meant, like, when he was on that Jingle Jam tour, he looked like he was sick of all of the stuff that was happening. I do believe that he'll be back with a new album but I also think that he hasn't even started it yet. I love Aaron to death and all and I'd still buy his CD...but let's face it, how many of his fans will actually still listen with all their heart? Like things used to be? In my opinion, AC is getting older and he's going through a hard time still...with his family, his relationships, all of that. Does anyone agree with me?

If he does make an album, I hope to God, that he makes it big and tops Jesse, Stevie, all of them. I personally think Stevie will hit bigtime...sorry to get off subject...

aaron has given so much to all of us....yes,theres alot of stuff that were beyond his control and some where he had/has control over.. but regardless, thats him being human..he has done alot for us..being a fan is not only supporting him, etc. but also having patience.i want him to go back on tour but i know we all cant make him...ill be a fan for life whether he quits singing, continues signing, etc. or does something else...its not just about him touring or signing, etc. its about his heart & other positive abilities he can do with his life.. hes an adult....he never stops caring (& also achieves) ANYTHING thats in his heart & in his blood..he's exploring what he needs to explore...thats all part of being 18 & acheiving more goals...in my opinion the more stronger hes becoming with learning alot, the more i have respect for him..whether he makes mistakes or not, etc. etc. thats adulthood

He could if he wanted to. There's nothing holding him back. Financially, he doesn't need to work another day in his life. If his heart's not in being an entertainer of any kind, he shouldn't have to do it. But, since he's working on music right now, I guess he's gonna give it another go, which is good news.

If one day Aaron decided that he no longer wanted to be in the business, then I would hope that he has enough respect for his fans to do a farewell tour or something. Just like his fans are growing up and changing Aaron is too, and I don't think people really realize that sometimes. I know the person I was when I was 14 and the person that I am now are like two totally differnt people and I have no doubt that Aaron is the same way. People grow and people change its just a part of life.

If he stops singing, that boii wont have another job, unless he faces reality and gets a REAL job...that pays a lot less than what he is used to. At the rate he's going, not many jobs will want him, especially if he's smoking, drinking, etc. But I agree with all of you in a way of saying that I am still gonna be a fan, regardless of if or if not he continues to sing. In my heart, he's the best young pop singer that has come out of the business yet. He's always gonna be my favorite...so if he continues to sing or if he goes and makes a reality show, I'm here. I'll support him.

Sorta off topic but how does everyone think the POSSIBLE reality show will turn out?
