View Full Version : Remembering ISOJ

PB is currently sitting at my desk coloring scuffs on her shoes with my black permanent marker.

insearchofjustin
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:40 PM
That's were it all started for me too. Soon I started coloring my nails when the nailpolish would chip... Pencils for an eyebrow filler... before I knew it I hit rock bottom with black marker on my ass.

iggy
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:40 PM
that's tasteful...what ISOJ does with markers is not

PB&Kev
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:43 PM
I'm at rock bottom and she hits me when I'm down. Thanks a billion KYC, you're the best. :p

I have plenty of black pants ISOJ, I'm sure I'll be right behind you (so-to-speak). :D

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:45 PM
Memories...

Tasteful? ISOJ is the epitomY of tastefulness :D

Hey iggy, go over and piss off some NSYNC board members will you? They are grating on my last nerve...

insearchofjustin
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:47 PM
I'm now in a 12-step program.

Step 1 was to buy new pants. Got a few pairs.

Step 2 was to get rid of any and all markers in the house.

iggy
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:49 PM
I have an understanding with pinky that I don't make waves there...I just read some of the learned things from AMA and I was laughing. Don't remember the last time I laughed at a boy band forum.

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:52 PM
It's rare.

I got into a big argument with a know-it-all.

It kind of reminds me of arguing with you. Totally kidding...

kentuckychic
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:55 PM
I don't have an understanding with anyone about making waves. I think I may go and check it out.

Mike
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:55 PM
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who mistook Janet for Diana Ross on the AMA's.

PB&Kev
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:56 PM
There's evidently some big bruhaha going on between the CRAPP forum and Britney's board too.

It's pretty tame actually, comparatively speaking, in my opinion.

We're looking more and more like the Good Kids all the time...maybe we should protect our image. ;)

PB&Kev
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:58 PM
What was up with Janet's eye Mike? Did you notice that? It looked like she had a stroke or something...or has it always been like that and I didn't notice?

iggy
Jan 9th, 2001, 01:59 PM
I know, we are so the good natured, non problem children now. And what's her name isn't even around.

Micky...no, Nikki, that's it.

Mike
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:01 PM
You know you've got it made when one of your moderators is called pimpinmidget.

kentuckychic
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:03 PM
I went over there and immediately got a headache. I couldn't tolerate it long enough to post anything.

Am I the only one that noticed that Janet was looking at Shaq like she wanted him. And then when she got ready to go onstage to accept her award she just stood there staring at him.

insearchofjustin
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:03 PM
I think Janet was on something... maybe too much pain medication from her last surgery.

[Edited by insearchofjustin on January 9th, 2001 at 01:11 PM]

iggy
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:07 PM
Sun: I don't have the exploration skills to find your fight. Where it at? And BNF is locking things left and right.

I missed the whole Britney/CRAPP fight too...man, I'm getting soft at this. Retire my jersey.

insearchofjustin
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:08 PM
I must be getting old. I don't have the interest to even go over there and peep. Just like I never open forwarded emails anymore. My curiosity is gone with the wind.

All I want to do is assemble display furniture at Target.

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:13 PM
Actually it's a on-going fight. I don't know why I even bother. There's a chick over there that is so in love with NSYNC that she can hardly see straight and anytime anyone even makes a JOKE about them, she flies off the handle...I criticize their outfits and I usually get a stern talking to...

It's in the post about their outfits...something about "In defense of the AMA outfits" or something like that...
It's not a big deal, but I'm so crabby. The whole forum is giving me a huge headache right now. Remind me again why I go over there...

iggy
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:17 PM
People who don't see the inherent humor in boy bands are overly constipated or mildly retarded...no doubt about it. I bet they're from the midwest...not sure why...or Malaysia.

See my earlier lament about the fading humor in Live Daily.

insearchofjustin
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:19 PM
Sunshine, let us remind iggy that we, two of his favority people, are from the Midwest.

Don't worry, people from the Midwest have a sense of humor... which you will soon find out.

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:20 PM
Ok first of all, that is my point exactly. Boy bands exist for their humor. That's why I LIKE NSync, I think they are the funniest (whether on purpose or not).

I'll ignore the midwest comment...

LD is just not as funny as it used to be...

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:23 PM
Midwest people RULE!

I take that back...people from Minnesota RULE!!

Everything is free here, after all. Asparagus ice cream and all...

And yes, we will show you our wonderful senses of humor! Hey ISOJ, got any good Ole and Lena jokes?

insearchofjustin
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:26 PM
No, but my dad does... he even went so far as to rename two of our dogs Ole and Lena.

iggy
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:26 PM
Hey sun...go swimming around that person in the NSYNC forum...certain jaws of death will occur soon after...just make sure she's not wearing a suede jacket.

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:30 PM
Good call iggy.

I'll have to try that.

Are this the same Dad who had Daunte in his backyard?

Yummy

insearchofjustin
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:33 PM
No, didn't I tell you? I have 12 dads.

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:35 PM
That's what I thought.

Damn. That must have been some conception...

iggy
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:41 PM
I'm reminded of the first Nightmare on Elm Street.

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:43 PM
"My Two Dads" was a great show...who played the main character in it, I can't remember...

iggy
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:48 PM
paul reiser
greg evigan
stacey keenan

sunshinegirl
Jan 9th, 2001, 02:53 PM
Stacey Keenan...wasn't she on Step by Step too, or is that someone else?

NikDC
Jan 9th, 2001, 03:01 PM
Same person. :p

Nice to know you miss me, ig.

God forbid a girl get a little work done or take a little afternoon off.

insearchofjustin
Jan 9th, 2001, 03:21 PM
SHE'S ALIVE! SHE'S ALIVE!

MerrySunshine
Jan 9th, 2001, 06:12 PM
Ah, yes. She's alive . . . which is something akin to what I thought when I saw the thread title, "Remembering ISOJ." I thought to myself, "What happened to her? She's OK, right?" A bit concerned I check the thread, and yes, ISOJ too is alive . . . merely a reference to the hiney coloring incident pre-DC-NSYNC. Ah, the halcyon days of youth! Wait, that was just a couple of months ago . . . . Ah, the halcyon days of November!

NikDC
Jan 10th, 2001, 07:43 AM
Alive yes, though buried under paperwork.

I still have the marker sitting on the counter to preserve the memory. I did however clean the marker remnants off of the surface of the counter :p God bless Mr. Clean.

insearchofjustin
Jan 10th, 2001, 08:06 AM
I swear I didn't sit on the counter.

Topic Change... did anyone see "The Mole" last night? It's better than Survivor ever will be... and I already know who The Mole is. :p

NEWBS
Jan 10th, 2001, 09:58 AM
Since when do we announce topic changes?

sunshinegirl
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:10 AM
No kidding Newbs...

But to answer the question...I hate reality-based shows. So no. And besides, I was too busy watching part of Larry King...which was much too depressing...:(

NEWBS
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:18 AM
Sunshine, how did the NSYNC/Larry King thing go?

insearchofjustin
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:23 AM
I didn't see it, but my co-worker who bought me the Justin poster (bless her heart  ) saw it and finally admitted to Justin having a 'nice profile'. But she can't get past the homeliness of Chris to be able to take a better look at Justin.

Her words... not mine... Merr, don't bite my head of. ;)

sunshinegirl
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:24 AM
I didn't see the whole thing...but from what I saw...

Larry is not at all familiar with NSYNC...but it went well. It's the best interview I've seen with them and it was pretty informative. Larry was very cute with them...even singing with them. He seemed to really like them.

On the other hand, I found out Chris and his girlfriend (who I adored, from what I could tell) broke up and he looked like he was going to cry. Justin loves Britney and JC loves his girlfriend Bobbie. There's your quick summary! :D

iggy
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:28 AM
Did Larry sing Chapel of Love with NSYNC?

Magic marker on counter tops, eye liner on fun pants...ISOJ leaves a path of destruction behind her.

sunshinegirl
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:32 AM
The eye liner on fun pants was SUPPOSED to be a secret.

ISOJ is like a dog...she just likes to leave her mark! ;)

No, they sang "Jingle Bells"...unfortunately Larry didn't know "Digital Getdown"...

insearchofjustin
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:37 AM
Good thing Sunny doesn't mark her territory, or else Nikki would be having those couches steam cleaned as we speak.

sunshinegirl
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:40 AM
Nah, that would leave a scent...the sharks might find me

PB&Kev
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:42 AM
So Chris and A.J. are both single now? So many targets, so little time to stalk...:)

So what happened Sunny? I thought he'd made her manager of his business and everything (which was probably dumb)...I wonder if she got any part of it?

kentuckychic
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:50 AM
Maybe they're 'still friends'.

insearchofjustin
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:50 AM
She really doesn't look smart enough to have thought that far in advance.

sunshinegirl
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:53 AM
They are still good friends. She even went with him to the AMA's...

I have no idea what happened, but I have a feeling it has to do with Chris' fear of marriage...don't quote me on that though ;)

I think she is still in charge of the business and everything and actually she is really smart. She has a degree from UCLA and was pre-med. She also always seemed very intelligent when I've heard her speak. I always liked her since she seems so much more down to earth than the other girlfriends...

I am such a gossip queen

PB&Kev
Jan 10th, 2001, 10:57 AM
Don't worry Sunny, boyband stuff isn't carved in stone over here. Occasionally we're even known to laugh about it. We don't lynch for speculation either. ;)

I thought that was her at the AMA's. She is smart... I'll leave 'cause he won't marry me, but I'll stick around and make money off the business. Probably won't beat that arrangement.

sunshinegirl
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:01 AM
LOL...thanks PB!

I always thought we insisted on cold hard fact over here! :D

Don't get me started on JC's girlfriend though...totally different story... He has looked absolutely ridiculous lately though...maybe she's taking her toll.

insearchofjustin
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:05 AM
You starting to secretly desire Justin again, aren't you Sunny? ;)

PB&Kev
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:11 AM
I'm gonna duck in case Nikki sees that you wrote that Sunny. My favorite JC moment recently is when he wore that black long coat with the feather collar/sleeves. Could he have looked more gay? Hated it.

Did Santa bring either of you that N'Sync Backstage Pass Game? My daughter got it for Christmas and I'm thinking very soon I'm going to have an embarassingly high knowledge of N'Sync.

God help me.

iggy
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:23 AM
I know JC's favorite cologne...that should get me some points in that game.

At first, I thought it would be bilge water since he's from Maryland, but I've learned otherwise.

PB&Kev
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:26 AM
That was one of my questions. Amazingly, I have no idea what the answer is...is it by Gucci?

I remember one of the choices was Drakkar and that wasn't the answer.

NikDC
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:27 AM
No need to duck, PB. Sunny's estimation isn't too far off. I was not feelin' JC last night as much as I normally do, though it definitely was one of the best interviews.

I was so sad for Chris too. He needs a hug :(

The classic moment of it was when Larry interrupted Justin's singing of the doowop classic to tell him that he (Justin) in fact did not know In The Still Of The Night, and proceeded to sing to him the correct version of it.

insearchofjustin
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:30 AM
Iggy, you know a hell of a lot about Lance too.

Thanks to the calendar... or not?

iggy
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:31 AM
It's Gucci Envy...I wore it to the concert as a gesture of good faith...I'm sure he noticed since our seats were out in the parking lot.

MerrySunshine
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:43 AM
I have to agree that JC hasn't been looking all that great lately either . . . last night he looked like a comic book character/superhero what with the red and orange shirt and the hair to match . . . Flame Boy or something . . . .

I felt sorry for Chris too, but, hey, it's all to my advantage as he's my crush . . . . Too bad, though, really, because I thought she was alright too. As far as smarts, it doesn't surprise me that Chris would have a smart girlfriend . . . underneath all that goofiness, I actually think Chris is pretty smart himself.

As for the best moment, I must disagree with Nik. It was in fact, when Larry asked them if It's Gonna Be Me was akin to I Gotta Be Me by Sammy Davis Jr. "You remember Sammy Davis?" And then Chris says, "Yeah, we do some old stuff. We did Sailing by Christopher Cross." Larry: "Who?" LMAO.

And lastly, why did Chris have to reinforce the "Lance is gay" rumor with the "He's dating me." Poor Lance!

MerrySunshine
Jan 10th, 2001, 11:52 AM
P.S. to ISOJ: Your co-worker obviously has little appreciation of tiny, dark, elfin men. But I do not fault her. (Her?) That's why there are folks out here like me, who love the little guys even as we would tower over them if we wore heels (and sometimes when we don't wear heels)! ;)

iggy
Jan 10th, 2001, 12:00 PM
elfin, non-threatening boys are always popular in the pop world...and as jockeys

PB&Kev
Jan 10th, 2001, 12:07 PM
You could be like me and then everyone would be elfin. It sucks in major way.

iggy
Jan 10th, 2001, 12:11 PM
The Kraken awakes!!!

sunshinegirl
Jan 10th, 2001, 12:29 PM
PB - don't worry, JC is SUPPOSED to be my favorite! Nikki certainly will not be upset if I decide to like someone else and give her less competition. Don't get your hopes up though Nik, he's just having an off month. The hair just needs to go...he does look like a cross between the wolfman and Bozo the Clown. It's no good.

I do have the NSYNC Backstage Pass game and I'm not ashamed to admit it! ;) The little cut-outs of the guys in different outfits are WAY too much fun! And yes, iggy and my brother have Gucci Envy cologne...talk about ruining it for me ;)

Oh and Mer, you might want to watch out...if I decide that JC is no longer the greatest thing since sliced bread, I'm going after that little elfin man of yours...or maybe Justin...I haven't decided yet. :D

iggy
Jan 10th, 2001, 12:45 PM
In spite of what ISOJ tries to communicate, I have no ownership over Lance. Feel free to get him in your cross hairs...here's let me call his mom for you.

I think Chris is funny, but once he turns 30, funny becomes pathetic.

sunshinegirl
Jan 10th, 2001, 12:49 PM
I have no interest in Lance, iggy. You can have him. He's not my type.

Of course neither is Justin...but I've seen how he can move ;)

kentuckychic
Jan 10th, 2001, 12:50 PM
Well even though all of you say that Lance is gay I still think he is cute. If I ever get invited on a stalking trip that's definitely who I'll be after. :)
