It's actually pretty cheap (well, compared to the likes of the PS3 and such).

it's an interesting approach they're taking to purposely NOT try to compete w/ the likes of MS and Sony..

some of the crazy stuff like the controller and price point might give them a WHOLE other set of dollars to go after...

one thing I don't like is that they're treating as if graphics quality doesn't even MATTER to them anymore though... cuz they're dropping ANY kind of quality output... no hi-def/rgb output... think they said they won't even support s-video for crying out loud!... bad move IMO to make it TOO "cheap" that some gamers might not even take it seriously

the price is cheap...which it needs to be....but it doesnt play DVDs....all i want is a new system that i can play madden and the older versions of Mario Brothers!! and justify paying that much for it because it'll play DVDs as well....the new gaming systems are waaaaaaaaaay to expensive for me to buy.

I have a PS2...well its a paperweight now......i thought that was expensive......

Pfft, Sony is the devil. And there's no way their systems are worth what they're charging just because they can play DVDs. Most people have a DVD player anyway - and they're not that expensive. People want game systems to play games, not to buy an entire entertainment system.

not me....if im going to pay that much money for something...i want an entertainment system...i dont play enough video games to pay that much for a gaming only system.

i actually dont have a dvd player...we use my roommates XBox at this time....i dont see the point in buying a dvd player if a gaming system that we own plays DVDs.

Wow. I'm totally gonna geek out BIG TIME on this one. I might have to take that whole week off (it is Turkey Day that week, so I'll only have to take off 3 days, that means I can get a full 8 days of gaming in, never sleep, never shower, never eat, nothing...just game. Sounds like BLISS to me).
