Fan Review: Pepsi Smash Concert 7/30/2006

The show was STUNNING! I really wasn’t expecting a full-blown show but Mimi brought the house down. Four costume changes, a staircase, a disco ball, full gospel choir, and the MIMI light wall - it was freaking fantastic. Best part is she sounded and looked AMAZING. No lip synching tonight.

She did live remixes including one of Dreamlover with Biggie’s juicy that I had never heard before... the O.D.B remix of Fantasy... She said it was just a "tidbit" of what her full show was like but frankly, I’d have paid for a full-price ticket to see what I saw tonight.

I can’t believe it was only a tidbit. I encourage any fans who haven’t yet seen her live to do your best to get a ticket to the Adventures of Mimi Tour... Such a spectacle. She is at her pinnacle.

I have been a fan for so long and seeing her perform live made me even more of a fan.

Don’t count her out!

from the pictures i saw and the audio i heard, it seems like it was a great, fun show. i'm glad she's stepping it up in terms of production. if only she'd do the same for live vocals, but you can't ask for much nowadays i guess haha. i heard the full show and only 4 songs were fully live without any lipped moments whatsoever, but she did pretty good. her whistles were awesome throughout the show though i must say! i'm excited to see her august 5th. i'm glad this person got to go to this show, thought. thanks for posting.

I haven't heard any of those mp3's, so I cannot say if Mariah lipped or not. all the singers now days lip there songs about 90% of them do even Christina sometimes.
