As teammate A-Rod tries to relearn baseball, Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter has been consumed with a project of another kind — smelling good.
Seems that Jeter, the toast of New York’s social scene, is developing his own fragrance for Avon, which will debut this fall. It’s called Driven, as in low liner or quickly out of the AL East playoff picture.
Jeter said he consulted his mom and his sister on the project. But maybe he also could have used the guidance of a few former arm candies, such as Mariah Carey. The fragrance is said to be a blend of chilled grapefruit, clean oak moss and spice — a combination that sounds quite disgusting.
