Howcome Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton were at Lamont's victory rally (Lamont is WHITE and ULTRA-RICH) and weren't in Georgia consoling poor Cynthia McKinney (McKinney is BLACK and NOT-SO-RICH) in her moment of despair. I can't believe they weren't down there screaming voter fraud and racism. No, instead they're up in Hartford supporting the rich, white guy who has absolutely zero political experience.
Hypocrits???

Gee, I don't know, perhaps because they don't believe there was any voter fraud or racism in Georgia?
Since when is it hypocritical for a black person to support a white person? Talk about racist...

Me thinks it's because McKinney didn't have a chance and so they just threw her under the bus and headed north to party with the winner...

Maybe they recognize that McKinney isn't a good representative of African Americans.

why do you expect us to answer absurd questions, but when people ask you completely reasonable questions you never answer?
and i think pinks pretty much sums up most of our opinions.

Sort of like the GOP with Katherine Harris? And we're pretty sure it's not what you think. You've pretty clearly demonstrated that almost all of your "thinking" is what Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity said hours earlier or what Drudge just misenterpreted on his blog. That's why you can't respond to questions about what you say - they didn't supply you with facts, just the rhetoric.

I guess for Reg one is obligated to support a candidate based solely on skin color.
Welcome to the 21st century Brad.

As for McKinney, you do realize that the race in Georgia was between two African-American Democrats and that the result was telegraphed far in advance by polls, don't you? Hank Johnson ran a solid campaign, looked to the vast majority of voters like a better candidate and was all but guaranteed to emerge as the winner.
In CT, it was a much tighter race between an incumbent who offered more of the status quo and someone who promised change from the status quo. That's what the election and many of the races in November boil down to. Sharpton and Jackson were in CT to promote the idea that it's time for a change.

Richard, that took actual thought. Richie had no chance.
