Ariel Sharon's health is deteriorating, according to reports.

What does this mean for the Israel/Lebanon/Hezbollah situation? Some of my firends at work are speculating this would lead to a Hezbollah attack on Israel. Could the timing of this end up being a catalyst for the region?

Has Sharon's health really been a consideration through all of this? He hasn't been in charge for a while, and no one expected him to return to power.

That's what I felt, and agree with. At least one co-worker thinks though it leaves a prime time for Hezbollah to attack, while Israel is in mourning, despite this hopeful cease-fire.

Speaking of the latter, according to MSNBC it sounds like even though both sides have agreed, neither will give up fighting until UN forces are there. That may take a few weeks, but the station just had an "expert" say Israel won't pull out until then and Hezbollah won't stop its action until Israel withdraws.
