But, they are meeting their recruiting quotas. So what if the recruits are maladjusted, petty criminals and sociopaths? So what if they are so gullible that they will let themselves be bullied or worse, go along with the illegal practices? The military needs fresh meat; that's all the Bushies care about.

Wow. Even the numbers they're required to recruit and enlist is scary to me. 14,000 recruiters with a quota of 2 enlistments a month? That's 28,000 new recruits every month. If those quotas are met, that's 336,000 new recruits per year. That's craziness. Of course they're going to get the crazies DES talked about...and of course, to keep their jobs, the recruiters are going to do whatever it takes to meet those insane quotas as many months as they can per year.

And yet, someone who wanted to make the Navy his life was given the boot when he couldn't meet a long distance run requirement. He was stationed on a submarine...just where was he supposed to run? (I'm talking about a friend's boyfriend)
