I'm posting this here cause I know no Britney talk is allowed in the Christina forum and Willa's forum would be bias.

Willa and some of her fans believe that her song "I Wanna Be Bad" is what made Britney and Christina come out with "Slave 4 U" and "Dirrty." That she being the first bad girl and not coming out all innocent paved the way for them to become sexier. Do you agree with this, why or why not?

Not at all! Willa did an album that was good but she was nothing big. Christina went through a stage where she wanted to just be herself! Sexuality is part of her lol And Britney well Im not sure cuz I dont read lots about her...

That's what a friend and I were saying. But honestly based on things Willa and some of her fans have said I think they think that her coming out and being willing to be all "bad" allowed/inspired Brit and Christina to come out of their shells and get all "bad" and in Christina's case "Dirrty." But anyone who saw Brit's first Rolling Stone cover or the remix to Christina's "Come on Over" knows those two were "bad" and before Willa even came into the picture IMO. I was just making sure I wasn't alone in my thinking lol!

Britney always had that little bad side to her though. She just took it to another level. Not to mention the slave video was sexy/sensual. The other videos were raunchy in a nasty way.

No. Considering that Britney and Christina were both outselling Willa and were most likely far too caught up in their own careers to pay much attention to up and coming artists, I'd say no way. It's possible that their "sexy images" were inspired by other artists, but I believe that it would be their predecessors Madonna, Janet and others from that generation who were the sources of inspiration. Then again, the industry was headed in that direction at that point in time. Britney was the midriff icon, heh, and Christina was pulling towards rn'b where women either have attitude and fight for their equal rights, or subject themselves to being sexual objects.

no, if your going on who made the first hard core statement on sexuallity it would be Britney when she did the strip tease at the 2000 VMA. The first person to successfull get across the Bad ass additude what Pink that same year. All Willa did was try to capitalize on both ideas. All these girls came out to close together to ever say that one inspired the other. Anyone who says that is fool of crap IMO

I doubt Britney or Christina have ever even heard of Willa Flop. The reason they became all sexed up was because of their age and their growing sexual maturity. Also Willa was told to be a slut by her record company (luckily the glove fit). So if Britney or Christina or Jessica became slutty its also because of a record company or marketing decision. Its NOTHING to do with watching Willas untalented ass being shaken about on MTV. BS and CA would be insulted by this thread. :nc:

Of course she inspired them, after the huge worldwide success Willa had with her naught and dirrty image it was just so predictable that CA and BS would follow her lead in order to sell as much as Willa does, and not to mention the grammies, Billboard awards and sold out tours worldwide Willa had.....
