Pop princess Britney Spears gave birth to a 6 pound, 11 ounce baby boy just before 2 a.m., September 12th at a Los Angeles hospital, insiders told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive.

"Kevin took Britney to the hospital in the evening hours of Sept. 11 to prepare for the Cesarean birth," an insider said. Only her mother Lynn, and her sister Jamie Lynn were present at the birth. None of Kevin's family was there.

Right after the baby was born, Kevin got the word out to his family and close friends.

Britney Spears Has Baby Boy

Pop star Britney Spears, 24, gave birth to a baby boy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on September 12, a family source confirms to Us Weekly.

This is her second child with husband Kevin Federline, joining older brother, Sean Preston, who turns 1-year-old on September 14. Federline also has two children with his ex, Shar Jackson, a daughter, Kori, 4, and a son, Kaleb, 2. Spears and Federline, 28, celebrate their second wedding anniversary on September 18.

The couple have spent the last month preparing for the new edition to their family. They recently finished painting the new nursery in neutral hues fit for a boy or a girl.

Update 1:45 pm: We are told that the news is definitely true - Britney and Kevin have welcomed a second son together. Us Weekly also reports the news, saying that a Federline source has confirmed. Expect a press announcement in the next few hours - probably first posted on People.com, as the Spears-Federline camp seems to release all news through them.

I heard she named her son Sutton Pierce?!?! Has anyone else heard that? I hope it's not true. Sutton is the name of a health food place in Michigan. It sounds like the name of a business. Sean Preston is such a nice name... why stick the 2nd kid with Sutton???

I've heard this too, but I think it's unlikely. Here's what Access Hollywood says:

Access has confirmed the following details:

- The child has dark curly hair
- He weighs 6 lbs, 11 ounces, and is 19 inches long
- Britney and Kevin are undecided on a name, but they're toying with names with the letter "J"
- Most of the combinations of names they came up with had the middle name "James" (yes, also J)

The rumor about Sean Preston was Kevin wanted to Name him Sean because of P.Diddy Pop Tart, and supposedly Kaleb's name is Kaleb Michael Jackson Federline..

That's just what I read.. I don't remember if it was online or in one of the gossip mag's I've become addicted to.. LOL

Blah, just gossip. Kevin was a dancer for Michael Jackson at one point, but I think the most likely reason Kaleb is Kaleb Michael Jackson Federline is because Kevin's dad's name is Michael and Shar's last name is Jackson. And Sean Preston was what Britney wanted since she was young if what I read was true.

WOW! I mean even if you dont like her, but wishing it was painful is just not right... Its such a scary thing to go through and on top of that most times there are complications that comes along with giving birth...just ask me.
