So yesterday I go to watch the Eagles-Giants game at a bar. We're currently on Pacific Time, so games start at 10 am. I wasn't sure the bar would be open, so I waited until 11, when it usually does open. The place had opened at 9:45 (note for the rest of the season ;)), and when I sat down where I could watch the game, I ended up in front of a table of Eagles fans.
The started trash right away, which was obviously dumb. It was 14-7 when I walked in and they are talking about killing the Giants? Up by one possession? I chose to ignore them and put on my XM (Had to hear my Yanks lose afterall).
Fast forward to the fourth quarter. The Giants fight back from 24-7 down to 24-14. One of the fools says, "it's still a 17 point game." Way to do math Buddy! Bush would be proud!
For some reason, these guys were extremely quick getting out of there at the end of the game. Last season I was there and even through rivalries, everyone had fun... Then again, I put the XM on knowing these guys were just stupid, bitter fans. They nearly picked a fight with another table of Giants fans. The other table told Mr. Wizard to bring his abicus next time. Maybe they would have picked the fight if they understood the comment.
