Recently I saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers play at Amsterjam. It was the best concert/performance I have ever seen. ;)

Has anyone else seen them recently?

I saw them this summer headline over the Allman Brothers. I've become a big ABB fan in recent years and hadn't seen Petty in quite a while.

I thought tp&th did a fine job, almost all hits and/or familiar radio songs but nothing like those reckless years/tours in the late 70's-early eighties. I remember a show at the Orpheum in Boston in '79 or '80 and walking out of there thinking "Tom is gonna be the next Springsteen'. He's not exactly that but he's also matured with grace and dignity intact.

As for the 'breakers, Mike is still a damn good guitarist and Scott does a nice job as the utility man.
