Study: Oceans have cooled in recent years

Scientists say that despite temperature change, sea levels continue to rise

By Sara Goudarzi

Despite the long term warming trend seen around the globe, the oceans have cooled in the last three years, scientists announced today.

The temperature drop, a small fraction of the total warming seen in the last 48 years, suggests that global warming trends can sometimes take little dips.

In the last century, Earth's temperature has risen about 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.56 degrees Celsius). Most scientists agree that much of the warming in the past 50 years has been fueled by the burning of fossil fuels and other human activities.

thats because the glaciers are melting into them. thats what happens when ice melts.

also:

suggests that global warming trends can sometimes take little dips.

this implies there is an overall global warming trend.

There is such a thing known as global warming, human activity on earth has increased its speed, it is a natural acuring cycle that with or without human precense would still happen just not as fast. Its not beneficial to us to have it occur fast because it will hurt us economicaly, it is also not good to go overboard because that will also affect us economically. Global Warming could actually be slowed if the brightest minds took two things into consideration.

1.What can we do to reduce CO2 emissions and return them to 1990 levels and possible lower, keeping in mind other countries will not go along and polute more, meaning we must polute less, a lot less. hopefully eventually bringing them along.

2.How can we make it economical for companies to become environmentaly friendly and reduce CO2 emissions?

Make it green to be green and the solution is solved, it can't be to raise penalties, taxes because they will move to another country and pollute, it must be an actual cheap solution that will keep CO2 levels the same and save money. It can be done, there are ideas out there right now, lets start working together to make solutions that will help us all out and maybe make our lives a bit better in the future.
