You are the one who is too predictible. You are talking about them all being alcoholics yet the only one who gets drunk is the one "who stays true to herself"? Please. You cut her some slack because she is the one defending Jane. They all love her but I'd be bitter and sad as all hell if I was Jane or Bob's daughter as well. Can't blame the rest of their children for not knowing quite sure what to do anymore.

LMAO at his spurts of thugness. It comes and goes. Too funny.:funny: He's a real character. But when he blew up at Nick, omg.....wow:blueeek: That was intense. I thought someone was gonna end up in ER for sure.

Because when one is fighting with somebody like that, one tends to bring up irrelevant, unimportant info from the past. I speak from experience.

Dude, my family's around the same as theirs. I'm the youngest, and bitterest kid my parents have to deal w/ for a couple more years..lol. so u really can't blame nick or n e of them for being bitter. that's a natural reaction to the hell some people are put through. so dont judge.

BJ did look like a alcoholic in the 1st eppisode. I don't why on the website why any words were bleeped out. I understand why for TV but not the internet.

Unlike the others, BJ doesn't hide the fact that she drinks more than she should. Misery has a way of creeping up on those who party and drink excessively, especially those who pretend there isn't a problem or simply shrug it off. Thus the reality show. Not only BJ but everyone in that family needs help. All the fingerpointings at Jane won't accomplish anything. Drama-hungry fans and aiming-for-big-bucks producers do NOT want to see the family healed. Failure to get help or accepting the fact that their OWN choices led to their downfall, misery will live on. They as a family are never going to heal the way they are continuing to treat their mother.

When I see everyone else in the house chugging champagne like it's going out of style, then I'll worry. There was only one drunk in that house. It was BJ.

Wow, and you have time to come on LD and post after your job as an amateur psychiatrist!
You don't think it messes kids up to be supporting their mother both emotionally and financially who continues to choose NOT to be a responsible person? Maybe you were lucky enough to live in a non-dysfunctional family but I wouldn't judge how screwed up the Carter kids are unless you've walked a mile in their shoes.
And IMHO, if Jane was my mother, in order to heal myself, I would just have to cut her out of my life. Sad, right?

ok so my computers whack and doesnt have sound so i have yet to see the episode. but i know from personal experience, when people have gone through hell over and over, like they have, people tend to turn to alcohol and drugs to get their mind off of things. can someone explain to me why everyones say BJ is an alcoholic?? and PLEASEEE dont say its being the camera caught her drunk once. cause i take that word very seriously. but yeah if there is a legitimate reason for saying that, then i appologize. so, can someone please clue me in. lol

A alcoholic doesn't need you to defend her or make excusses for her.
Lots of kids have bad parent and that is NOT a exuse and people making excuses is what makes addicts not realize that they need help.

Then, what the hell are you trying to prove to us without any proof? Whether they have problems or not, I don't know or more like I don't know the extend but it takes a lot to call them whatever when you are defending their mother who practically destroyed their lifes to the point they can't even stand her. Furthermore, you are calling them alcoholics when their mother was freaking arrested with DUI charges a while back. WTF?

People turn to alcohol and drugs for other reasons too. How about plain stupidity for one? Oftentimes the hell they go thru they brought upon themselves from their own choices, things they made up and fantasied about. For them, misery stares at them like none other.

The hell their parents put them through is their parents guilt and theirs only. No one wants to feel like that towards a parent, trust me.

Lady, I can surmise it wouldn't have come down to a reality show if even ONE of them took the responsibility bull by the horn for own choices, sought real help akin to what AJ did, and turned around. Sadly, they're still in denial. If it takes a reality show to get even ONE to realize this and do something about it, then it WILL be well worth it. The big question is would ANY one or more of them wish to rather than blame mom for their misery?

you seem like you dont want to the family to be happyIt's not up to me but up to them if they wish to lead happier lives. I have hinted in several of my posts how they could go about finding it. It won't be easy for sure as it will require swallowing some false pride and this very type of pride is an enemy to happiness and PROMOTES misery. Their choice: happiness or continuing misery

im not making excuses. im just saying that people tend to throw around the word alcoholic like its nothing, you dont realize how bad it is until its effected your life, and unfortunately i know all too well. so im just hoping people arent throwing the word around like its nothing and if theyre saying she is an alcoholic, then theres a legit reason.

yeah i know, i was just saying one reason. and i disagree completely because the hell people go through, especially when youre growing up (i dont mean alcohol and drugs, i mean other issues) is not your fault by any means. and no stupidity isnt a reason, a lot of times people have been through too much and dont know what else to do and if they have easy access to drugs and alcohol, theyre gonna use it.

You keep saying that this is all their fault because of their choices. They will pay for their bad choices soon enough. But who the hell is gonna heal the damage that their parents have caused them? WHO? Half of the misery they are in it's their mom's fault. Those kids were children one day and they did what they mother told them to do. She didn't know better but she should have because she was the adult. Now, as adults they have to deal with what both their parents did to them while Jane chooses to be drive drunk and ask for money every five minutes and you wonder why they are bitter? HELLO!

Most of the time, someone who is complety happy, especially a child or a young person doesn't get addicted to something just because they are stupid. Drug addiction usually has to do with very deep and serious problems cause by something or someone that shouldn't be disregarded. No one pushes you to take drugs and no one should take the blame it doesn't have anything to do with it "being a choice made by a stupid person". If any of the Carter kids took or takes drugs is not because they are a bunch of stupid, happy campers. TRUST ME.
