Lynch to Distribute Inland Empire Himself
Source: David Lynch October 9, 2006
Seeking to explore new methods of distribution, David Lynch has secured the rights for the US and Canada to his first digital video feature, Inland Empire.
Reaching an agreement with Studio Canal, Lynch proclaims, "It's a whole new world out there, even when it comes to distribution." The film's producer Mary Sweeney concurs stating, "David's decision to explore a new model of distribution is consistent with the fearless way in which he made 'Inland Empire.'"
The film, starring Laura Dern, Justin Theroux, Harry Dean Stanton and Jeremy Irons, took two and a half years to complete.

I wonder if Forman won't take a hint and release Goya's Ghosts himself. This year. Yes, I wanna see it that bad that I'd let the risk of it turning into a disaster... LMAO! WTF am I saying? I'm speaking as if it was my movie or my money invested in it. Anyway, yes. I have a confession to make: I've never seen a David Lynch, or a Milos Forman for that matter. It's shameful but I had to say it. I have only heard great things about both directors and their movies. And getting back to Goya's Ghosts, it's just a shame how it's had this much trouble getting an American distributor. You'd think that based on name alone all of the big distributors would be fighting for it! Anyway, this rant has got too long and too off topic. I'm audi... Cambio y fuera.
