I almost bought it last night in my stop the bookstore, mainly cuz I know Peter Jackson is going to adapt it into a screenplay and make a movie out of it, but also because the premise sounds really interesting. But I don't know. I wanted to ask someone about it, but none of my friends are big readers, and the few that are only read books like The Da Vinci Code and Paulo Coelho novels. Not that I have anything against Paulo Coelho. I myself have read 2 of his books in the past, and I'm planning to get ahold of many of the others I haven't read yet, in Portuguese, partly to improve my own Portuguese learning... Call it self educating or whatever.

Anyways, The Lovely Bones: yes or no? Good or bad? Anyone cares to tell me about it without giving anything away?

I read it a few months ago, it is a good book I really liked the unique way the story was told. I didn't know Peter Jackson was making it into a film, that could be interesting

I loved it. It is written really well and from a unique point of view. Most books on that subject matter just deal with events leading up to it, but The Lovely Bones tells what happens afterward.

I finally bought it, along with 1984, for a grand total of $7 via Amazon used books. :hat:
