Those articles are funny. There are a few stats that won't be mentioned. Michael Jordan performed what was considered the worst performance in the history of the three-point contest. It may still be the worst, but I'm not sure.
The Bulls improved by 11 games in his first year, and fell by 8 the following year when he was injured. They fell by only two games in the year Jordan left. The Lakers improved by 13 games in Magic's first season, and fell by 15 games after he left. The Celtics improved by 32 games in Bird's first season, and fell by 15 during his injured season. They fell by 3 after Bird left(when Bird was far past his prime). The "greatest player ever" argument has to include who had a bigger impact to help their team, and Jordan is obviously the worst in that category.
It's also funny how at least one person claims 5 Michael Jordan's would be such an outstanding team. Any good team needs rebounding, as that has decided numerous Championships. Jordan couldn't rebound very well. When he didn't have Horace or Rodman with him, Jordan couldn't carry his team very far. You need a very well-rounded player who is good as a ball-handler and can play against Centers as well. Not even Bird or Magic could do everything, so Jordan certainly couldn't.
