What does everyone have against the New England Patriots? I know their coach is a pillock and all.

Their coach, and the team this year made utter asses of themselves as poor winners and losers: Two weeks ago by Belichek being a jerk shaking hands with Mangini (and pushing a photographer around in the process), last week mocking Merriman and yesterday it was the coach again, refusing to shake hands with Manning.
And how many times has Manning shook his hand in defeat?
But personally, for me, it was one fan who really soured me on the Pats. They were once my favorite AFC team, but this guy was on every non-Pats fan from the moment they won their first SB throughout as though it was the way things should be.
I don't think even as a Yankee fan, outside of rivalries with friends, I was ever such a sore winner.

The Patriots used to be my favorite NFL team but then they made a deal to move the team to Connecticut and at the very last possible moment they backed out of the deal. After they screwed Connecticut like that they have become my most hated team, only second to the Yankees.

The problem I have is Tom Brady. They hype him to such a degree, yet the statistics show he hasn't had one season with a rating of 100 or more yet. It's very embarassing. A player who elevates their sport is deserving of hype. He hasn't. A truly great player is deserving of that kind of hype. Joe Montana is one, and I think you could say Steve Young as well. Brady is not in that league. Jerry Rice would be a great example of players who aren't quarterbacks. There are other quarterbacks as well who are or were overhyped. Peyton Manning, Terry Bradshaw, and John Elway are three others that come to mind. They're so overhyped that I root against their team. It's not that the Patriots have done much wrong, but I'm so sick of hearing about them and their players.

When you compare Brady's stats to Montana's you will see they are almost the same. Tom Brady is a very nice person have you ever met him if you did you wouldn't be saying all this trust me. It has been noted by both players Manning and Brady that they are friends and have talked before and after this game. I think people don't want the Pats to win simply because they have won so much however they are truly a wonderful team. I can say this since i have met almost the whole team.

I'm not saying the team is mean or anything like that, but I am just sick of hearing about Brady. Obviously the statistics show that Montana had many of his best years later, so you can't really compare them at this point. A team has more than 20 starters, so a quarterback has a little bit of influence to a team but not much more than that. The Patriots' success has been based on their defense as much as anything. How have you met so many players?

Attending games and training camp. You can compare there stats cause they are so close and of course Montana's is still better but they are very close. It takes a defense and an offense to win. I do believe they are rebuilding there team since so many people left and if this year is any indictation of whats to come they will win another superbowl. Brady is a wonderful QB and people sure, i'm sure they are sick of hearing it but he is. Not to mention hot. When they are together as a team they appreciate each other so much and have so much respect for each other. If people could just see that then maybe they would respect them more.
