Sandra Bridges Covington
Covington, Sandra Bridges "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies." Proverbs 31:10. Sandra Bridges Covington passed away at 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at her home in Greensburg. She was 59 and a native of Magnolia, Miss. Visitation at First United Methodist Church, Amite, on Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 11:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Brady Whitton. Interment in Tangipahoa Cemetery, Tangipahoa. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Reggie Covington, Greensburg; daughter, Laura Lynne Covington, Greensburg; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Todd and Jamie Covington, Kentwood, and Rick Covington, Pearl River; granddaughter, Hannah Claire Covington, Kentwood; sister, Lynne Spears, Kentwood; brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Wanda Bridges, Kentwood; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dick and Libby Covington, Amite; nieces and nephews, Brent and Dawn Covington, and Brian Covington, all of Amite, Bryan Spears, New York, Britney Spears, Los Angeles, Jamie Lynn Spears, Kentwood, Kevin Bridges, Boston, and Brittany Leonard, Blake Leonard, Barret Bridges and Blaine Bridges, all of Kentwood; and special friend, Kathy Bridges, Amite. She was preceded in death by her father, Barney O. Bridges; and mother, Lillian Portell Bridges. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 596, Amite, LA 70422 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. thats so sad. i wanna cry, really. I really thought she was in remission with the cancer? poor laura Lynn.

It is sad. The last time I heard anything about Sandra was in 2003 during a promotional trip with Britney to speak out in support of her aunt and to raise money for her cancer charity.

It was on Access Hollywood. She had ovarian cancer.
