Yesterday, they just lost their 14th straight game. Paul Pierce was injured a while back, and their record was like 10-14. That's not good, but not overly bad either. They are a better team than this. What should they do differently at this point? Obviously I'm a fan, so I would love to see them pick up a very good draft pick. Their history has been based on good to great draft picks. They've dug themselves in such a hole that I almost want to see them lose so they could pick up one of the first two picks. I have mixed emotions. I think that if they pick up a good or very good draft pick along with one good free agent, they could be a good team next year assuming they're healthy. They may have to make changes in their management as well, but I'm not sure if that's a big factor here.

I guess the record is 24 losses, so Boston is not too far from the record. At least this means they're closer to the number 1 pick. Several years ago, Tim Duncan was the number 1 pick. Boston was the worst team, but didn't get the first pick, so I hope the lottery goes in their favor this time.

I'm actually becoming excited about the team's future. They will likely have the second highest shot at getting a good draft pick. You have four choices that are being hyped:Oden, Durant, Noah, and the Chinese player Yi Jianlian. He's considered to have Yao Ming potential, and I guess he has looked very good against NBA players. With Pierce playing, they've been close to .500 so, with the right draft pick and maybe even a free agent or trade, they could have 40 or even close to 50 wins. Al Jefferson has improved greatly this year and Rajon Rondo is considered to have huge potential. One good thing to losing is Pierce would likely demand to be traded next year. His salary is close to $20 million, so it could be hurting the team more than helping.

Not the best statement he could have made. I wouldn't be surprised if they sign Durant or Oden and get rid of Pierce. It may be a bad team, but he should not have said that publicly.

I don't think I've been this excited to see the Celts lose as I was with yesterday's game. They should have the second best shot at the first pick, even if they defeat the Bucks later on.
