Well I was there in 2005 and there is absoultley no chance of getting near the red carpet when they are arriving...unless you have a pass like i did.

Just by a miracle I met Aaron coming out after the award cermony was over, among all the 1,000's of people leaving.

Get to the venue EARLY and get a good spot to watch. Sometimes up front and if u have a few friends, park them in seperate places, so, you all dont miss a beat. Never know who you will run into.
Im going to watch the Oscar arrivals for the 3rd time this year, so, its pretty basic. Try anything you can without doing something illegal, most of the artists are cool, they will come around if they have time <3

hi! your only option would maybe catch them coming out of the venue, a couple of celebs like Aaron and James Brown had to walk to the outside car park to get to there Limos, that would be the best chance of meeting them or taking pictures. :)
