Note: The Mormon Church does NOT contribute money to political parties or candidates. However, Mormons themselves are free to contribute to whomever they wish.

Wow, quite a smear:

CM: Well, let me go to Lynn on that... Lynn, it seems to me that Romney who running about 3% in the polls only has rich people behind him because if you look at the amount of money he's raised compared to the kind of support he has in the polls per capita it looks like they're all loaded.
More like a Newsbusters misrepresentation. You've got a candidate that is barely a blip in the polls, with a massive amount of money flowing in. Any reasonable person would come to the conclusion that there's a small amount of people channeling a large amount of cash in his direction. It's not even a mathematical stretch.

So what part of that is a smear?

The key word is reasonable, Richard.

Talking point: Nowhere in that linked article is there a mention of the Mormon Church, or Mormons themselves. Therefore, I would argue that Regis is either a religious bigot or he believes that Mitt Romney's appeal is so very limited that no one outside the Mormon Church would find anything about him worth considering.

Maybe both.

I think it's both, plus the all-important Rush factor. Regis' post is simply a regurgitation of one of Rush's diatribes today:
