There are more than thirty people on the set in studio 10. That’s because the occassion is important even for the photographic studios that routinely deal with celebrities:
MARIAH CAREY CAREY IS BEING PHOTOGRAPHED BY MICHELANGELO DI BATTISTA FOR THE NEW PINKO CAMPAIGN, ART DIRECTOR GIOVANNI BIANCO.
Mariah is being transformed into a glamour queen by two of the most famous American image makers: Serge Normat, the superstar hairdresser in great demand by divas and stylists, and Laura Mercier, the make-up artist whose signature make-up line is one of the best-selling brands in luxury department stores in the USA.
The style is hit upon by the diva and Andrea Tenerani, the campaign’s creative director, is that of a sex kitten with blackened eyebrows like Brigitte Bardot in "And God created Woman" and big hair like Raquel Welch. A look was then reinterpreted in contemporary style, which took, over two and a half hours work to define, plus frequent touching-up sessions during shooting.
