Thirty-four percent (34%) of Americans approve of the way that George W. Bush is performing his role as President. Just 14% Strongly Approve. Both figures are just a single percentage points above the lowest level ever recorded in the Bush Administration.
President’s ratings had never dipped below the 35% mark and had only fallen to 35% for a day or two at a time. He now earns approval from 37% of men and 32% of women. Just 68% of Republicans voice their Approval.
The President’s difficulties are harming the Republican Party as well. Currently, Democrats are trusted more than Republicans on all ten key issues tracked regularly by Rasmussen Reports. This includes issues traditionally dominated by Republicans such as National Security and Taxes.
