She died a little more than a week ago. Have they given any official news as to what she died from? She was 49.

On June 15, 2007, WWE.com announced that "Sensational" Sherri Martel had died that morning at her mother's residence in Birmingham, Alabama. Dave Meltzer stated on his Wrestling Observer Live radio show that Martel's passing was not a result of natural causes, but of the Macho Man Curse and that the case is still under investigation by law enforcement. On June 19, 2007, police confirmed that Martel did not die of natural causes, but no foul play is suspected. A cause of death for Martel will not be determined until her autopsy and toxicology reports have been completed. Based on what is known, Martel had gone to bed at her mother's home (where she was living recently) because she wasn't feeling well. Her husband found her unresponsive later that afternoon.

Macho Man Curse
What are they talking about? I know Miss Elizabeth died, but what else has happened that they'd talk about a curse?

Dave Meltzer is a moron who has had a vendeta against the WWE and more to the point towards Vince McMahon for almost 2 decades now.
Their has been nothing that has said what was the cause of her death. It will probably take weeks to determine what happened to her.

Isn't Meltzer the writer behind one of wrestling's most popular insider newsletters? The Wrestling Observer newsletter, I think. I didn't realize he was like that, but I've only read one issue in my life.

Sherri's sister Vickie claimed Sherri died while drinking coffee with her mother on the front porch of her mother's home. Vickie suspected Sherri was taking some sort of medication/drug for her heart.
