Hey thanks for the good wishes everybody (even you, Andrew!). It means a lot to me.

So far, it's been a pretty quiet birthday this year. We've been pretty low key the past few weeks, not a ton of Festiveness in the vicinity. Work has been a bear lately, but I'm hanging in there. And there's plenty of good to balance it out: Gonna have dinner tonight with Mommy-O and the girlies, and then we'll all meet up with my parents later for a little cake & coffee...M-O has promised that there will be some live Jazzfest shows in our mailbox shortly, so I've got that to look forward to (she didn't tell me which ones)...We've got vacation coming up in a couple of weeks...It looks like my cousin may be coming home from Iraq in August, this time for good!!! Gonna be a BIG party for that one...We're also working through our church to set up a mission trip to the gulf coast, to help with the ongoing rehab efforts...

All in all, life IS so good. I have so many blessings to be thankful for. I hope each and every one of you is having a great rock'n'roll summer, and let's keep the faith until Bruce and the boys come back with guitars-a-blazin, ready to rock us and send our Festive meters flyin'...

Rich - funny story...I still have your cell phone # in my phonebook on my cell. My daughters were scrolling through my phonebook the other day and thought it was hilarious that I have "the judge" in there. Hope when Bruce & the boys come to Chicago that we can hoist a couple of cold ones.

Daddy-O....sorry to be so late in wishing you a Happy Birthday, your birthday fell at a very busy time for me (in meeting my July deadlines)...I hope you don't mind if I resurrect your thread to send my wishes to you. I don't get online much anymore, just not enough time, but the times when I do, I always like to see your name in the threads because I always know you're going to post something positive and that you're sharing a little piece of you with the rest of us and that's not a bad thing.
