He's right. The Dems consider any comparison to Marx a compliment though. Marx is a God-like figure to the Dems (I say "God-like" because the enlightened don't believe in a God.)

Hillary's economic plan is communism. It's just like China, Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba and the former Soviet Union.

Romney Continues Assault on Democrats

Jul 22, 5:32 PM (ET)

By PHILIP ELLIOTT

NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took aim at Democratic rivals on Sunday, calling them all unprepared to lead the country and comparing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's economic plan to that of Socialist Karl Marx.

"It would be helpful to have a person leading the country who understands how the economy works and has actually managed something," the former Massachusetts governor told reporters after a GOP fundraiser. "In the case of the three Democratic front-runners, not one of them has managed even a corner store, let alone a state or a city."

Romney, who leads Republicans in New Hampshire, has focused his criticism in recent weeks on Clinton, Sen. Barack Obama and former Sen. John Edwards rather than rival Republicans. It's a strategy he hopes will help him maintain his lead over Sen. John McCain and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

"I wanted to focus on the Democrats," he said. "By and large, the best way to further my interest is to let people know what I would do and to distinguish that from what the Democrats would do."

His prime target was Clinton.

"Hillary Clinton just gave a speech the other day about her view on the economy. She said we have been an on-your-own society. She said it's time to get rid of that and replace that with shared responsibility and we're-in-it-together society," Romney told the crowd. "That's out with Adam Smith and in with Karl Marx."

"In the case of the three Democratic front-runners, not one of them has managed even a corner store, let alone a state or a city."

No, they want all management of everything to be done by the government.

Marx is a God-like figure to the Dems...

I read in the newspapers they are going to have 30 minutes of intellectual stuff on television every Monday from 7:30 to 8. to educate America. They couldn't educate America if they started at 6:30.-- Groucho Marx

A wise man, that Groucho. :)

Clearly you have no idea what Democrats believe.

Democrats are not synonomous with Socialist.

So Regis, since you like to scream socialism at every turn, does that mean you're in favor of getting rid of the police department, the fire department, public education, etc.?

It's clear that Romney is desperate for news coverage. Thompson is taking his supporters, and it looks like the best Powder Puff has to offer now is saying increasingly sensational things to try and get gossip-level reporters to swing a camera his way.

Romney's economic plan is like a game of flip a coin.

Some days you get heads, some days, tails.

Yep, he's desperate alright: "I'm convinced that America is going to change course and the question is which way it is going to go: Are we going to take a sharp left turn represented by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama and John Edwards, or are we going to march forth with the American values that have always helped us be the strongest nation on earth. And I believe we'll do the latter."

Nice of him to imply that Clinton, Obama and Edwards don't have "American" values. What values does Romney hold today? I'm sure not the same ones he held yesterday. Unless, of course, he's speaking to a similar audience.
