After chiding Democrat John Edwards for his $400 haircuts, former Gov. Mitt Romney dropped $300 at a California beauty salon to ensure his face was properly powdered during a televised presidential debate.

Romney, always perfectly coiffed on the campaign trail, spent the cash at the Hidden Beauty salon in West Hills, Calif., which employs a “mobile beauty team” to provide on-the-go hair and makeup services for men, according to its Web site.

“For $300, I hope he got a manicure and pedicure, too,” Democratic political consultant Michael Goldman said. “If Mitt needs to spend $300 to look halfway decent, I can only imagine what Rudy Giuliani is paying.”

...

Boston-based Elizabeth Moon, a makeup artist for more than 18 years, said Romney’s blush and brush session was well worth it - and a deal as well.
“He got a bargain,” she said. “If he were to call me? It could be as much as $350 an hour depending on travel, how long, if I had to cancel other appointments.”

Gee, does this mean we get to come up with a stupid nickname for Romney to match Breck Girl? I'm sure Regis' idol Rush won't come up with one for us, since Romney sits squarely on his side of the fence. I'm sure we can think of something of equal brilliance. I'll start. How about Powder Puff Girl?

Romney doesn't go around preaching about the evils of wealth and the "two Americas" and creating a European-style superwelfare state and so forth...

And you have to wear makeup on TV, male or female, doesn't matter.

BTW, did you see The Breck Girl was named sexiest woman alive or some such stupid thing???

I'll post a picture later...but it'll be deleted soon after so maybe ya won't see it. :noway:

No, you don't have to wear makeup on TV, but you'll look like crap if you don't. It's about appearance...just like a haircut.
