video at abcnews.com now (7/25 6: 40 p.m. EST) - and hell no, I didn't watch it.

Line up the contra-superlatives: transparent, outrageous, offensive - and they continue. What a really pathetic public relations/political support thing to do in the current Iraq-dominated climate. Democrat or Republican, we've all got to be counting the days until this Administration is put out to pasture.

BIUSA is blaring through my head (since blaring at my desk is not too popular in my office). Ironically, I wasn't - technically - BIUSA (but a Frankfurt, Germany U.S. Army Hospital is still enough to qualify me ... on a distant level! ... to be President).

Don't take this the wrong way, Slick, but this probably belongs in the political rant section. Also, it's not 2008 yet!

Rich, if you want to pull this into the other section, that would be cool.
But good to hear you're enlightened, brutha!

That brings to mind me favorite movielike - the Orange Clockwork! What if our Bushy brothers started out like Alex and the crew, when they invaded Afghanistan:

Alex:
There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie Boy and Dim.
And we sat in the Korova Milk Bar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova Milk Bar sold milk plus - milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or
drencrom which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old Ultra-Violence.

Then what if we thnks of Bush and Mr. Dick off to the Iraqui beatdown as Alex's next funhop, sort of like this here:

Alex...
The Durango 95 purred away real horrorshow. A nice warm vibratey feeling all through your guttiwuts. Soon it was trees and dark, my brothers with real country dark. We fillied around for a while with other travelers of the night, playing hogs of the road. Then we headed west. What we were after now was the old surprise visit. That was a real kick and good for laughs and lashing of the Ultra-Violent.

Ah but the day of reckoning will come, when Georgie Porgie Pudding and Chain will realize that the UltraInvading is bad, after a bit of the old Constitutional In-Out:

Alex:
You needn't take it any further sir. You've proved to me that all the
Ultra-Violence and killing is wrong and terribly wrong. I've learned my
lesson, sir. I see now what I've never seen before. I'm cured. Praise God
