When the rest of the "sport" is trying to save face after the Benoit murders, you go out and hire Pacman Jones. Well, at least he's clean of steroids.

Pacman is one of the first two players to be suspended under the NFL's new conduct policy. He was suspended for the season because he's had multiple run-ins with the law in his two-year stint in the league. The most famous of theses is his alleged involvement in a strip club shooting during the NBA All-Star weekend in Vegas that left a bouncer paralyzed. He has recently been arraigned in that case.
Even after his suspension, he was involved in a number of questionable incidents, from (although not illegal or a police incident) giving an interview while at a boxing match at a casino to being involved in another shooting incident, where someone in his entourage apparently fired shots in the air.

Wrestling is "sports-entertainment". Even in the 1990's when wrestling leagues were not acknowledging that it is rigged, they were calling it "sports-entertainment". Not even those who run the organizations call it a sport. WWE is being careful since its image isn't too good right now, so it's understandable why they wouldn't want PacMan. Is he even popular? TNA is relatively new so I can understand them bringing other stars in to try to bring attention to their shows. I don't think he is a big star for a football player, so it doesn't make much sense.

WWE wouldn't bring in PacMan because they don't need him.
TNA is doing it because they need attention and its the only way they can think of to get it.

I heard something about a restraining order. It looks like Pacman won't be wrestling anytime soon.

TNA is trying to stop him from wrestling but who knows if they will be able to stop him.
