Looks like the hurricane season just heated up. Two storms, one in the Atlantic (Hurricane Dean) looks like it's headed toward Mexico (but too early to tell), and one in the Gulf of Mexico (T.S Erin) that is headed toward Texas.

A personal "Uh oh." Someone's peacocks are loose. Four of them just struted across my land, two peahens and two peacocks. They're beautiful, but noisy and messy.

Looks like it's time to go shooting! Pack your 35mm and... or will that be a multi-megapixel? ;) Looks like a good opportunity there despite the mess you might have to avoid stepping in or on.

We could use some rain and a cool down up our way but definitely not a hurricane!

Haven't bought the digital yet. That's my next project. I was so stunned by the sight of these birds, I didn't have the sense to grab my 35mm. But, with the humidity so high here, either camera would have taken several minutes to defog itself, and by then the birds had sauntered off into the leafy underbrush and woods beyond the mowed part of my land.

Maybe you might find a place to store your camera bag within easy reach and that's also in a place that stays a little closer to the outdoor temps but without getting too hot or too cold? Just in case you might be staring right at it... like if you've got one of those old style computer monitors like mine you could simply place it on top of your computer and air circulation can still easily get around it ...and your camera wont ever fog up on you when you bring it outside ;)

I know.... I was so bright my mama used to call me :sunny:

I dont like it when the lens fogs up! Oh, and another thing that really gets on my nerves is when you're trying to photograph a pretty little flower, but the wind is blowing! Its very hard to get a macro shot of a flower that is blowing in the breeze. Sometimes, if the flower stem is long, you can hold the stem steady with one hand and take the shot with the other.

Down here? When I walk out of the house, my glasses immediately fog up. Just the way it is. Maybe it has something to do with me keeping my house at a chilly 70 degrees. lol

Speaking of chilly, it was actually chilly outside this morning! I walked outside at about 6:30am to look at my morning glories and it felt like I should have had on a light jacket. Autumn is so close, I can feel it! The nights and mornings are getting much cooler, but the days are still hot, but becoming less humid.

Just for the fun of it I checked my local weather. Over night the temps stayed around 60F, but later today we may reach about 90F. Yup, its that time of year again, a 30 degree difference between night and day.

Bring on Autumn! The chilly air, bundled up in a light jacket, bright blue skies, the leaves changing colors, the festivals..... !!!
