Both Kanye West and 50 Cent have come to her defense after this entire MTV ordeal. And of course, the American Idol producers and judges who appear to sincerely want to help her.

I'm surprised people (non-fans) are still taking her side.

Industry people are defending Britney because she is known to be a huge album seller and they are somewhat hoping that the success of her album helps promote the image that people are still buying albums. When its apparent that no one is buying music anymore, people will stop buying music and go for the more popular approach.
Thats my honest opinion.
