My God,
Did Marsh come off like a stalker nut or what ?

I counted multiple times where Bruce was trying to say one thing and Marsh finishes his sentence with his own words with a giddy laugh.

I know Bruce has known him for years, but it gave me a bit of the heebie-jeebies. Marsh, at least to me, came off like a crazed fan that cornered Bruce.

I thought it was an odd interview too. If you didn't know about their friendship, you'd have to worry.

"Have you read Jon Landau's review of John Wesley Harding?"

As opposed to a crazed fan who wrote 2 fawning books about the guy?

i laughed when he characterized girls in their summer clothes as a complex song and Bruce came back w/ it's actually quite simple, i think there are only 3 chords...i had no idea what he was trying to say there as it's the simplest song on the album

I'm guessing he meant the arrangement with the Beach Boys-like strings, but who knows?

Are we supposed to assume that was Brendan O'Brien who handed him the guitar? Bruce said something like "we were singing your praises when you were away" to him.

That was the impression I got.
