At about 1100 this morning, we were on our way to Dorbrook Park on Rt. 537 in Colts Neck to take our son to a class sposored by the Monmouth County Parks System. We were heading North on Hockhockson Road, toward Rt. 537. Just south of the Navy Road I see the black SUV coming toward us. Sure enough, it was the Boss himself, heading south - his farm is pretty close to this location. Wonder if he'll be at Max and Becky's tonight for the SPCA benefit?

You should have had a policeman hit you. Last time that happen to me (outside of Fenway on the Rising Tour), Bruce stopped his entourage and asked my wife if we were ok while I argued with the officer. Didn't even know that Bruce was there until 10 minutes later when Trish told me how Bruce was concerned that we were injured.

Oh well...

The original telling of that story was one of the funniest things I've ever read on this board. Thanks for the reminder.

Great pictures, Scoot...
I imagine that's not Bruce's black lab sitting next to him but I've always wondered if he had a dog...
Seems I've seen some picture of him walking some little "dog" before(er...too small to be called Dog in my book but...) I was just hoping it was the kids'...and not his...
I don't know...when I'm thinking about the Dogs on Main Street howlin' because they understand...I'm just not imagining, Jack Russells...or Poodles...or Pomeranians...not that there's anything wrong with that...but...but...do they even howl???

Anyway...this is somewhat of a hijack but it still has some relevance and gave me a chuckle in my own world this past summer...Might as well share it but it may not humor anyone but me...:p

I have this friend who has entered the dating world again...and this past summer he started to see this gal who was "loaded"...(um, he mentioned other fine attributes too but I'll spare you...) So they're seeing one another, he says she quite the looker, has her own well established accounting business and is a horse trainer...He just can't seem to understand why she can't seem to hang onto a fella...(uh oh.)
Well, until....................he finds out one night that she probably shouldn't drink...ever...

Nonetheless, he hangs in there...there's bouts of drunken rages and apologies etc. but he really likes her when she's not psycho...He says she's actually very sweet and she's always showering him with extravagance  (He's a whore, I know...)

Somewhere along the lines in sober conversation, because she has dogs, he's telling her about my newly established business making and selling gourmet dog treats free of preservatives and other artificial nastiness...<insert infomercial>
She thought it was a great idea and offered to carry some samples to give out...That's great...I'd appreciate the plug...

Well one day, he shows up at her house and she's on the phone..She waves him in as she finishes up the call,
"Okay...see you this weekend, Bruce..."

She gets off the phone and says,

"That was Bruce Springsteen, I work with his daughter..."

Well, he couldn't wait to tell me the woman he's seeing knows Bruce etc. etc. just so he can gloat (bast*rd!)
Well I tell him...

"Okay...this is what I want you to do...Get her to give Bruce some dog treats...I think he's got a dog...Wouldn't this be great?! Imagine... Bruce's kid's dog goes bonkers over some Venison & Cheddar treats and can't live without them and then poof* Bruce becomes my customer!!!! (Some of my current customers refer to it as "Doggie Crack) Whooooo Hoooo!!!!"

Well, I'm tickled at the thought...and although it's just as feasible as not...it really just makes me chuckle to think of the possibility of saying,

"Bruce Springsteen buys Doggie Crack from me..."

yuk* yuk* yuk* It does sorta have a ring to it, don'tcha think???

(continued because apparently I ramble too much)

Well my friend says he’ll do it…he finds it rather humorous too because he has a “connection” and I don’t(bast*rd!)…
Now, my wheels are turning and we’re making plans for when he’s going to see his friend next…He plans to find out when she’s going to see Bruce again so we can time it justtttt perfectlyyyyy….

And then………………..

While he’s supposed to be “networking” for me on a date…they’re boozing…
(No! No! NO! NO! Mayday! Mayday! Abort Mission, abort, abort, ABORT!!!)
Too late…an evening of boozing turns to pure ugliness with ranting and raving being the least of his worries…Now he has a stark raving drunken, object throwing, screaming over the phone in the middle of the night, good looking woman who’s loaded and can sell Bruce Doggie Crack on his hands…
For some reason, he sees a quandry…

Well, being as I’m his friend, seems the solution is simple:

“Take One for the Team, Buddy!!!!”

I figure he can hang in there long enough to peddle the Doggie Crack to Bruce and THEN be on his way…
But nooooooo…he cuts bait and calls it all off…

Doh! Easy Come…Easy Go….

...back to your regularly scheduled program....

My friend's dog likes carrots.

One of our six flavors includes Carrots & Parsley...carrots for the beta carotenes...and parsley for stinky dog breath...

I have a vegan couple who orders Carrots & Parsley and Yams & Honey for their pooch like clockwork...well, at least they say it's for their
dog...:p

No photoshop, live shot. That's my nephew Tyson flying after a ball on one of Minnesooota's 10,000 lakes. Somebody told him that it was one of Michael Vick's balls. Yeah he's a Pitbull.

Shouldn't you be in court fighting a lawsuit right about now?

The Range Rover he had at AP during rehearsal was not black, not sure what color you would call that.

Sorry, can't find the picture I had.
