When will they start dropping Arena Riser seats? I have to work both days, so GA's won't do me much good...

Because from what I can tell, very few (if any!) riser tickets have even been released yet. Not sure if I've seen anyone offering any for trade/sale, while even GA's are available on various sites for little to no markup.

Good question. I have been checking those constantly. I will post if I see something there.

I have GAs for Oakland but I'd rather have a good lower. Besides, I have a good friend who can really use my pair of GAs.

Get a GA, even if you arrive late and are near the back...at least you'll be able to stand and not be pressured to sit down, as you will be in the Arena Risers, Loge, etc.

Has that happened to you, too? I have been asked to sit before. Crazy, I thought I was at a Rock & Roll concert.

Hey guys, this has happened to me at numerous rocking shows in the LA area including Bruce.... bottom line is if you buy good seats a person should be prepared to stand at a rock n roll concert, however, some of the LA crowd doesnt get it.... I figure if youre gonna sit down and lightly tap your toes, STAY HOME and watch the act on DVD, and for Pete's Sake, quit yelling at us to sit down or buy nosebleeds or tickets to mellow concerts where most of the crowd sits (like the LA crowd Im referring to is ever gonna read this..... LOL)
Mrs. S, I've been asked to sit down but I have also been cussed at and threatend by a fat ass couple sitting behind me at a rocking show at staples (good side loge seats) with everyone in the 4 rows in front of me and all around standing rocking out, it got real ugly and I finally just had to get an usher to take care of it, then this couple still persisted and called me a f...ing tattle tale.... then I had security remove them cuz they were threatening me once again.

I've had the opposite happen to me. People behind me screamed at me to sit down at an Aerosmith concert (during Walk This Way, of all songs!). I refused and they went to security, who tried to force me to sit. Thankfully, people down the row saw my ordeal and allowed me to stand with them.
I only buy on the floor at shows now. Even if I am farther back than I would be with a great lower side seat; I just don't want to deal with that BS.
The irony is people poke fun at the Stones, Bruce, etc. as being old. Hey, those guys can stand and perform for 2 hours; it's the audience that is lame.

My Wife and I saw the Neville Brothers this past summer and had the sit down BS to deal with here(Boulder) as well, it's not just LA. It's the Neville's for crying out loud get up and move. If you wanted to dance or stand you had to go to the side of the stage. Some people just don't know how to have a good time.

I'm always up and dancing at the Neville's shows , but they are definitely drawing an older crowd that just wants to sit until the last song. Lots of their shows are at theaters or casinos now.
We saw them at Ravinia last summer, and we got 'elbows on the stage' kind of close in the pavilion area. Danced like crazy and had a blast, then got Aaron's copy of the setlist as a bonus. I was flyin high. Then for Dr John, security made us sit down
I don't like it either...

You saw the Neville Brothers? I have seen them twice in the last four years and was blown away by their musical talent and ability. Awesome group and I would without a doubt pay to see them again.
Now back to the regularly schedule program-

Oct 17th, 2007, 06:19 PM
well... my take is that any place on the floor is better than almost any seat, given the number of comfy seat sitters who don't understand music and dancing these days (or previous days)...
To which I most certainly concur. I hope that was it...

Unfortuntately, the security guard sided with the girls asking me to sit. I ended upgrading myself to a great spot where I could dance!
