MSG Question

Does anybody know if I'll be able to access the merchandise tables outside MSG without a ticket?

I was thinking of picking up a shirt for my son on my way into Penn Station.

They usually have a stand outside before you get to the glass box office doors, up a few steps from the main concourse. You may have to get your bag checked before you get to that point, but I don't know if they'll require a ticket. I'd say it's worth a trip upstairs if you have a few minutes before your train.

Good news and bad news.

Good - you are allowed on the promenade without a ticket.

Bad - they don't "open" until around 6, and my train is at 6:08.

Oh well, they're actually a bit cheaper at FanFire anyway.
