Well I knew he had his book signing so despite being in a crappy mood I went down to LA and met up with my friend i begged to accompany me. Luckily I had not bought my book ahead of time because the only way you could go was to purchase the book. so we got our wristbands and then went to go window shop. I saw a red patten leather purse for 995.00. INSANE. too bad it was totally cute.

We got back into the line about 63, we were numbers 77and 78. He was supposed to be there 730, but he was 12 minutes late. We were told he would only sign the book (people had playbill and nsync posters etc) and no pictures. but i sure did see him sign anything that was presented to him and take a picture with anyone who brought a camera, his assistant was taking the pictures and made sure they were actutally good pictures, she even took a picture of a hug because she knew it would be wanted by the girl. One girl asked if nsync would get back together and he said I wish!! she also asked if they were all still good friends etc, and he said yes, and he was very gracious and nice and smiley. not to mention drop dead freakin gorgeous!

It was finally my turn (for the previous hour, i couldnt stop saying I am so excited!...i had previously not yet been all that excited) He signed by book, personalized it to me when I asked, hugged me, took a picture. He was really nice. I told him I had just watched on the line again and he said that was so much fun.

Nothing too exciting in a story, but i was really excited.

BUT! He did tell me that he had never heard of any person named clare, or kat, and whatever they say about him MUST be about a doppleganger blowup doll. lol

ill post a picture when i stop being lazy :)

Of course, my name isn't "clare," it's "Claire."

No wonder he didn't recognize the name! :]

Cool stuff, though! Glad you got to meet him.

yeah, I know.. I believe he's back in the show as of Tuesday... its been so impossible to plan to go see him because my one friend is like ridiculously busy and would get mad if I went with out her. If it doesn't work out this weekend, I'm going whenever I can regardless if she can or not. haha He's only been there since August and I have not gone. That's ludicrous! hehe

Awww adorable pic, Sparks:D.

I'm trying to get to New York to see Hairspray before his run ends. I saw the movie this summer and fell in love with it so I want to see it on Broadway now

The movie based on the musical really did a fantastic job of capturing the Broadway version, which doesn't always happen. I can't wait for the dvd to come out in a couple weeks.

I never saw the whole original movie, I tried to watch it once but it was after I had seen the musical a couple times and I just couldn't get into it. Oh well...

Hey Jer, I have a question. If I want to get tickets for Hairspray, do I need to get them in advance? And how much do tickets usually run price wise? I'm new to this Broadway stuff.

Thanks a million:D

Oh, and may I add that I am totally jealous that you got see RENT with Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp. I wanted to go so bad

For coming as far as you are, I'd probably just get the tickets at least somewhat in advance...
There are usually some sort of discounts out for Hairspray now, but as it gets closer to the holidays they tend to disappear or decrease in the amount off.

try going to Broadwaybox.com they usually have all the up to date discount codes for all Broadway shows...

Hairspray also has a lotto that you can try to play but it'd be sad if you came all the way here played and didn't win, but those tickets are in the front row, and I think are like $25 each if you win... and its 2 per person. I think their lotto takes place about 3 hours before each performance, if I remember correctly.

Also the day of a show you can try the TKTS booth which isn't too far from the theatre. They get most of the left over tickets for each show and sell them there, many times at 50% off depending on availability. Again, I wouldn't only rely on that in case it happens to be sold out that day or something.

Hope this makes sense, sorry so long winded.. haha

So yeah, I was supposed to try and see Lance this passed weekend... but sadly Broadway is broken. Ugh. The stagehands went on strike as of last Saturday and so far both sides haven't even sat down to talk yet. It's really ridiculous. NYC is apparently losing millions of dollars each day since... I really can't understand why there hasn't been more of a push to get it settled.

On top of that Lance was supposed to do concert thing last night that I went to... Broadway Loves the 80's... but sadly he ended up being double booked for another charity gig, and couldn't make it. Twice in like 2 days, I was Lance-less. boo.

Hope the strike is settled soon... its really bad...
I'm hoping to try Hairspray again this coming Sunday.. lets hope the shows are back up and running by then.
